Hi. We are DEFICIT Games, creators of #VRSkater and our studio might not survive 2025. Since 2017 we've been crafting #VR gaming experiences - now working a downhill MTB game for #PSVR2, built on flow, speed and freedom. 🧵 1/2
@AndrewEhrenrei1@JayRyan909@MEMOREUMVR It’s not the devs in most cases. „The decision is based on several factors, one being that PSVR2 is the leading platform…“ (publisher rejection) 🤷♂️.
@80Level UE5 still feels unfinished. If it were possible, we’d actually be working with UE4.27. UE6 is coming too soon. UE5 actually feels as though it’s designed for the next generation of consoles.
@bozoid Yes. We have many examples, particularly from our tests during the development of VR Skater, which show that ‘motion sickness’ is not a significant argument against VR.
@bozoid Also… A close friend of the studio who was desperate to play VR games with us, but couldn’t cope with motion sickness. A few months later, he was the best Onward and Population One player in our local circle of friends who play VR multiplayer games. He’d got used to it.
@bozoid fun fact: when we let different people try out VR for the first time, the gamers had more trouble with motion sickness than those who don’t usually play video games. the vr sceptic gamers went into it thinking, “That’s going to make you feel sick,”, because they read about it.
