Former chief selector Muhammad Wasim on flat pitches being used in Pakistan in Test Cricket:

"Babar never asked for flat pitches. I was part of the system at the time. Babar Azam and the head coach wanted turning wickets. Babar raised his demand for turning tracks in a couple of meetings. The PCB head curator (Agha Zahid) was unable to prepare those turning pitches. The surfaces instead turned out increasingly flat. Therefore, it was the pitch curator's fault, not Babar".
