@Jim1967Roth@gauge14iv@MatrixMysteries Yeah, not really. It was bad form. I was just trying, ineffectively, to say you can get “student loans “ from private sources.
@rose_olszewski@ValerieAnne1970 “Enzyme” used to make cheese. Used to come from cow stomach. Hard to harvest. Now it’s a toxic synthetic byproduct someone figured out how to market, and it makes “cheese”. Still called “enzyme” on the label. Js.
@ValerieAnne1970 Most of what we “eat” is not really food anymore. The label on the back is completely meaningless. Grow it, know it, cook it, eat it. Support local farming. Good luck. Be safe.
@NotYourTaxGuy@ThrillaRilla369 We should remember this more. People with health issues struggle to do things others find easy. Grace, and just a bit of tolerance, sometimes. ☺️
@dzsg7n@ThrillaRilla369 We have a store that does this. I have arthritis. Sometimes it’s hard to work the mechanism. My heart rejoices when someone leaves it unattached, or lets me “buy” it from them in the lot. I always pay it forward. And, that store never has carts all over the place. 😁🥳
@KhanSaba1278 I haven’t rented in 35 years. My modest 3 bedroom homes in affordable communities cost me about 3 days’ pay. I’ve never made $33/hr. Advocate for law change forbidding massive investment brokers from buying single family dwellings. Not more wages. Seriously.
@swd2@Cheley5588 Now do the part about how it was pretty desperately needed, and the American company that should have made it couldn’t meet a timeline or the cost. By a LONG shot.
@Jim1967Roth@gauge14iv@MatrixMysteries My SIL maxed his “student loans”. Then he went to Citibank and Visa. Not credit cards. Private student loans. $120,000. His parents told him it was a good plan. PIF 12 years. Old cars, resale furniture, modest home, no additional credit.
@MatrixMysteries Max out your credit card, pay minimum payments, same result. Part of the problem is 18 yo’s “borrowing” $ to get degrees that will never result in jobs. Bloated universities and a federal “loan” agency charging high interest don’t help anything. 🤨🙁🧐
@AmericaDreamLOL@UziCryptoo My 2006 Corolla starts up every day just like a fine purring machine. Crank windows never fail. Gonna roll 200,000 in the next couple months. 🤷♀️
@UziCryptoo All that, and more. Also, $5 pre tax week now that you won’t likely miss too much, ($3.90 in your pocket) does add up over time. I was you. Now I’m 60, and I did save just a little. Not enough. It’s gonna get tight for me. I wish I would have planned just a little better.
@WorkElizab No. Neither did anyone when she was running. No primary, no vetting or voting. She stands for whatever is in front of her at the moment, and can’t articulate a coherent thought to save her soul.
🔴 Here's the part nobody tells you. Around 97% of chickens 🐓 processed in the United States are bathed in CHLORINE before they ever reach your cart, and yes, that includes the certified organic birds you grab at Whole Foods or Erewhon. It happens because industrial farms process thousands of chickens in the same shared bath, so if a single bird carries salmonella, it can spread to the entire batch.
🔴 The fix our regulators landed on was a chlorine rinse, which is exactly why the European Union banned this process and walked away from it entirely.
The frustrating part is that companies aren't required to disclose any of this, so you genuinely have no way of knowing you're buying what some people call pool chicken.
🔴 The clean swap is simple once you know the words to look for, which are air-chilled and pasture-raised, because those birds are cooled in a cold chamber instead of a chemical tank, which means no cross contamination and no chemical residue.
🔴 Share this information with everyone!
@mitchellvii I read there were some pricks that dumped stuff in there to make it go bad, treated with enzymes or something that when hydrogen peroxide was added to clean it, actually made it worse. Life cycle, or subtle vandalism and destruction. Would be nice to know.
