Not just any Bulgarian arms plant. EMCO. The owner, Emilian Gebrev, was poisoned twice with an organophosphate by GRU Unit 29155 operatives. And his arms/ammo consignments, destined for Georgia, Ukraine and Syrian opposition groups, were blown up in Bulgaria and Czechia by the same unit.
DNA found at the Leipzig drone attack was previously recorded in Lithuania. Other German outlets suggest this is related to the DHL attack from 2024 (a GRU operation using European cutouts), but Zeit writes "no indications of a connection between the two cases so far." https://t.co/I7BcY7s8Em
Germany apparently narrowly escaped a catastrophe.
An explosives-laden drone struck a Ukrainian An-124 aircraft at Leipzig/Halle Airport. According to reports, US intelligence agencies attribute the attack—with a high degree of probability—to Russia. German investigations must now clarify this beyond doubt.
If the suspicion is confirmed, this was neither a "warning signal" nor a "hybrid threat."
It was a Russian attack on German soil.
At the same time, according to recent figures, the EU imported 14% more Russian LNG in June than a year earlier.
Russia is attacking us—and Europe keeps sending money to Moscow.
That is not a strategy. That is hypocrisy.
Europe is incapable of declaring Russia an absolute threat; instead, it helps finance Putin’s war economy, thereby digging its own grave.
That was not a warning. That was an attack.
If the evidence currently available—indicating that the drone was controlled or deployed by Russia—is confirmed, Germany must finally stop treating such incidents as mere "hybrid threats" or warning signals.
An explosive-laden FPV drone struck a Ukrainian An-124 aircraft at Leipzig/Halle Airport. According to new video analyses reported by *Die Zeit*, the drone actually impacted the aircraft's wing. Fortunately, the explosive device did not detonate.
According to recent reports, US intelligence agencies have concluded that the drone can likely be attributed to Russia. German investigations must now establish this beyond doubt.
But what happens if the Russian origin is confirmed?
Then Chancellor Friedrich Merz must act.
Not with another warning to Moscow.
Not with diplomatic platitudes.
Not with "we are monitoring the situation."
But with a clear political response:
Germany must publicly identify Russia as the party responsible.
Germany must spearhead a unified European response.
For one thing must be clear:
If a foreign state targets an aircraft in Germany with an armed drone, that is not a "warning." That is an attack on German soil.
And the Federal Government must respond to that.
KASPAROV: Why can't NATO shoot down Russian missiles over Ukrainian territory? When Iran attacked Israel, the Americans, French, British shot down Iranian missiles. Why can one shoot down Iranian missiles flying at Israel but cannot shoot down Russian missiles flying at Ukraine?
USA: The explosive-laden drone at Leipzig Airport likely belonged to the Russian government.
German government: "Hybrid attack scenario... possibly foreign powers... we are investigating all leads."
Not a word about Russia.
The conclusion is obvious: Merz does not want to name Putin as the perpetrator—because then he would finally have to act. And apparently, he does not want to do that.
Weakness as a security strategy. Germany allows itself to be tested and looks the other way.
Multiple Russian drone teams armed with both reconnaissance and explosive-laden systems are active in Germany… and likely in other countries too if we judge last year’s activities. This poses a serious kinetic threat to NATO.
This is Mechernich, where two 4 meter drones flew for hours yesterday. And Leipzig, where an armed drone only by luck failed to blow up a plane with ammo.
Ie, drone cells are operating with impunity targeting arms transports and doing recon on key military sites. On EU soil.
I spoke to Ukrainian Lt. Col. @DYaroslavskiy for his take on the sudden ouster of now-former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov for the @nypost today. Here's what he said:
Footage shows Ukrainian Armed Forces drones attacking tankers belonging to the Russian shadow fleet in the Sea of Azov.
In the last four days alone, the Ukrainians have damaged or destroyed 49 Russian vessels.
One of the world’s best athletes ever, the Swedish-American pole vaulter Armand Duplantis criticizes the IOC for its decision to let Russian athletes compete in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics:
“Nothing has changed (with the war). It’s just getting worse. I really don’t understand their decision. Honestly…”
@bovidino@asubparusername So following your reasoning, the maximum temperature delta in Australia is 73 degrees, while Germany's is 78. Surely these 5 extra degrees are not the only reason for failing?
