Burkina Faso is one of the hottest countries on earth, yet 500+ students are learning in full thermal comfort, no air conditioning required.
This school’s thick clay walls absorb the heat, while elevated steel roofs push it out. Eucalyptus ceilings, local labor, rainwater harvesting, everything possible came from what was already there.
This is a technology institute built with the technology that suits our climate and needs. The West calls it “low-tech.” Africans call it working with your climate, not against it.

This story is actually insane:
• dude drops $2000 on a DJI robot vacuum like a lunatic
• refuses to use the normal app like a peasant
• Sammy Azdoufal fires up Claude to crack the API so he can drive it with an xbox controller
• Claude delivers the goods
• pulls an auth token from their servers, connects successfully
• except the system thinks he controls 7000 vacuums
• checks again
• yep, seven thousand
• DJI built authentication with zero device ownership verification
• any valid token works for any unit on the planet
• Sammy now has eyes inside homes across 24 countries
• live vacuum camera feeds everywhere
• full floor plans from the mapping data
• some guy in germany eating cereal at 3am, unaware his roomba is snitching
• one API call away from being the most informed burglar in history
• all he wanted was to steer his vacuum with a joystick
• does the right thing and reports it
• DJI fixes it in two days
• back to normal life with his stupidly expensive floor cleaner
• IoT companies stay undefeated at shipping garbage security
Between the 1960s and the 1980s, under the guise of "countering Communism," the CIA infiltrated Christian movements all over Africa and the Global South with the mission of steering Christian doctrines away from so-called "Liberation Theology" (teachings that encouraged people to stand up to corrupt governments and take collective action to better their lives), because this doctrine apparently was "Communist."
It funded and assisted the explosive growth of a whole new form of Christianity, which you recognise today as Prosperity Gospel, and it pumped millions of dollars into pushing it all over the Global South as part of its Cold War effort. This new doctrine ignored any kind of collectivism and encouraged people to see their Christian faith and salvation as individualistic issues that can be measured with specific individual outcomes, such as economic "blessing."
It was the perfect capitalist trojan horse because it convinced people to stop thinking of progress as a shared national issue and rather as an individual responsibility, which meant they did not need to organise into pressure groups, political movements, trade unions, student unions, or any other collectivist entities that the US government considered "Leftist" or "Communist." It succeeded wildly, and turned the world's poorest people in Sub Saharan Africa into rabid, money-obsessed capitalists without capital.
And in case you're wondering whether this means that all your mega pastors in Lagos and Abuja are US government-funded industry plants, the answer is simple: do a 1-minute Google search and find out where they all gained their theology degree or pastor training. There's your answer.
Anyway this is all on open record on the FOIA section of the CIA's own website, but the oyibos have convinced you that "Africans don't read," and you have internalised your own false stereotype, so you definitely won't read regardless. Your job is to enter my comment sections and drop laughing emojis because your forced laughter is your coping mechanism for dealing with how completely powerless and lost you are in a world you haven't begun to understand.
Anyway for the benefit of the 2 people who understand the value of reading and exervising their brains:

Difference between occupation and colonization
Japan occupied China. China was not colonized by Japan.
Germany occupied France. France was not colonized by Germany.
Finland was occupied but not colonized.
Russia was occupied, but not colonized.
Nigeria is colonized but not occupied.
Occupation is military and physical. The presence of the foreign forces are necessary. It might be the first step for a colonization.
Colonization is when the indigenous people start giving the name of the colonizers to their kids and start speaking the language of their aggressors, preferring the foreigners culture to their own.
If you tell them to embrace their roots, they will look at you like you are stupid and give you a thousand reasons why their culture is useless.
They also think their languages are inferior. Tell them to speak their languages and their response would be: Excuse me with that cultural pride nonsense. Will speaking my native language give me a job or make me a world renowned scientist?
They Are Colonized.
Colonization is an ideological occupation where the aggressor succeeds in erasing local culture and replacing its main components with his own culture.
For colonization to succeed, that is, for the oppressor to succeed in his oppression, there are three things he must to take from his victims. (1) Their history (2) Their language, and (3) Their psychological factor.
The Psychological factors are what we call VIPs. The values, The interests and The principles of a people. Take those from them...take their history, take their language, take their values, interests and principles and then super impose your history, your language, your values, interest and principles on them and you will have the citizens think like the guy in the image below. Their minds and thought process will be owned by you. It's what in simple terms they call: Mental Slavery!
Most Africans think Arab colonization and European colonization of Africa are good for them and would fight to defend their colonization heritage.
For the rest of us, we want African decolonization and renaissance, reviving our traditions and heritage.
We cannot develop the sciences in our languages until we see the importance of decolonization.
To ask what the advantage is for a child that speaks in his mother tongue shows one thing: A deeply damaged and colonized mind.
There were three types of enslaved Africans.
Those who accepted it.
Those who knew it was wrong but didn't know how to escape because the shackles were on their brains.
Those who said "Freedom or death."
All three types still exist today.
What the average person needs to realize is that modern surveillance isn’t only about reading what you say anymore, but about pulling meaning from patterns in how you behave online. Even without your consent or awareness, the timing, rhythms, and physical limits of how you move through digital systems are constantly analyzed, which means privacy is less about hiding information and more about managing what powerful institutions can infer about you.
