@BootsOpticsLinc Boots keep sending me letters about my eye test being overdue. I'm visually impaired and rely on dark mode. This is what Boot's Opticians website looks like on my computer. It's like sticking two fingers up to accessibility.
Had to give up trying to buy a bed @BensonsForBeds
Disabled so I use a dark screen reader that is really common.
Unfortunately Benson's website crashes with it. Never had that before anywhere else.
Off to #IKEA then...
@BallinFil It's also worth checking for 'insertion loss' just placing a pop-up in the website can cause.
Seen pop-ups cause visitors to bounce out, and cut conversions. Particular example, the rude "no thanks - I don't like saving money" variety.
@BallinFil Worth noting if poor email design means the whole email is mostly images wrapped in anchor tags, the chances are a good number of the clicks happened accidentally on mobile during swipe up/down and have zero commercial value.
@BallinFil I love the experts selling courses about hacking the promos tab who's emails land in... The promos tab.
Earlier this year I shared a doc for free on what 'works' - but basically the answer is 'nothing for very long.'

@a_plus_socials I'd say this to ANY UGC content creator thinking about working with Konscious Keto or their other supplement brands like Emma Relief.
Your face will forever be associated with junk products. Just ask former TV presenter Cathy Pedrayes who trashed her professional reputation.
@TheDanielFilipe Loads of reasons - but here's 3. Quality of data, sharing of voucher codes on discount websites, discounts being a super-lame race to the bottom to get people on your list.
The purpose of the pop up is to drive good quality email list growth, not a database full of bad emails.
@TheDanielFilipe This really does play to vanity as much as anything else. I had a Vietnamese client who was a full on narcissist. She actually PAID to be featured in Forbes π€£
Wondering what the old Return Path certification now costs under #TrustValidity ? If you know, please DM me - they seem to like to hide their pricing. It was $25k over 10 years ago, so I'm assuming it's close to double that now?
