I'm about to un-private this account and use it to start posting again. My posts will not be about tech, rather to interact with the communities around my hobbies (TCGs, anime, gaming, pokémon, etc.). If you see this, you might want to pre-emptively unfollow :-)
@atelierjoshua I think more importantly: who technically *might be* more skilled. It's really hard to objectively assess skill, and vouches from people you trust is a decent and self-correcting method to subjectively assess skill (in combination with other factors).
@dannyaltavilla TPCi: Nah sorry can only stamp full art cards for scalpers botting pokécenter ETBs (in the 5-10% of the world that can even buy pokécenter ETBs).
Two more for the CHUNITHM prefecture map! Ishikawa two days ago and Gifu today. I'd been to both already but only for day trips when I didn't have time to locate an arcade. Today in Gifu there's one single arcade in a 50km radius!
@NisotaNiso Congratulations! This is one of my favorite Jolteon illustrations in the TCG, really cool drawing. I really want to get the statue to go with it now!
AI in VGC, from my POV 🧵 :
Well, I always believed it would take longer to get here. "Doubles is way more complex than singles" kept me feeling comfortable. But it's here and I don't think we can do much to stop it. Ban it from the ladders for sure, but here on out the (1/X)
@ArchysLife Swiss people vote on like 10-20 items every three months or so and the results are out a few hours after in person voting closes.
"But our country is bigger!!!" is not an excuse, everything involved in counting votes scales well. Especially not an excuse for 1000x slower.
@rakinacchi@jhoudiey@PseudoMonious > Plus, most jp artists don't actually sell doujin/fanart stuff for much more than printing cost because of copyright.
This is what I'm replying to. You're saying I'm wrong calling it a myth. Or are you not reading what you're replying to?
