Greta Gerwig continues to make perfect movies that are unrepentantly feminine and the major awards continue to say "You are not the winner, but you can be the winner's sister or nurse!" to her.
I am spitting nails and have nowhere to spit them, and while I want nothing to do with this site, I have a lot to say. Florida State rose from the depths of hell - as one player said yesterday - to go 13-0 and win an ACC title with an 18-year-old QB who missed half the season.
One thought re: FSU and penalizing a team for a key injury: It incentivizes teams to lie about injuries and/or rush players back from injuries before they’re ready.
That is so wrong.
Booger:
“This is a complete travesty to the sport. Because we go out there on the field and we play the game. Regardless of whether we win with offense or defense, the name of the game is to win.
That’s the reason why this has never been done before (13-0 P5 champ out).
I understand the style points and best matchups, but one team has a loss (Alabama) and one doesn’t (Florida State).
Those kids have went out there every week and busted their behinds for this moment.
Mind you this is the same Alabama team that needed a prayer to beat an Auburn team that lost to New Mexico State. That’s what really has me bothered right now.”
@rosebowlgame@CFBPlayoff@UMichFootball@AlabamaFTBL Alabama doesn’t deserve this spot they paid for and Michigan cheated for it. I hope the committees who made this decision pay for their ignorance in court.
The corruption of college football rears its ugly head again. ESPN and Disney have a vested interest in the SEC participating in the CFP. Lawsuits should be filed tomorrow
The College Football Playoff games are on ESPN. ESPN is becoming the exclusive rights holder of SEC football in 2024. There’s no scenario in the world in which ESPN would allow its partnership with the SEC to kick off with a missed Playoff appearance. You can make arguments for Alabama or Florida State all day long and they would be totally fair, but this was never about the best teams being in. It was only ever about broadcast rights and what is most beneficial to networks. I just can’t imagine how frustrating it is for players and coaches knowing that, no matter how hard you work, the committee who determines your fate can pick and choose priorities based on what is most convenient to networks, not resumes, and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. And they’ve made it very clear that part of that “nothing” includes winning.
This represents the first time in the 25 seasons dating back to the BCS Era that an unbeaten P5 team was not given an opportunity to play for a national championship
Games don't matter.
It's not a playoff, it's an invitational.
And ESPN protected its brand.

@CFBPlayoff should be investigated @NBCNews@FoxNews@ABC for putting Alabama and Cheating Michigan in the playoffs over deserving Florida State. Who is paying to make this happen?
