President Barrow is gracing the SWEDD+ Entrepreneurship Training Certification Ceremony, as the government advances its push to empower and educate young girls. With support from the World Bank Group, over 700 girls and women graduate today under SWEDD+ project.
The Government has committed GMD117 million to support 2,064 out‑of‑school and vulnerable adolescent girls and young women nationwide with start‑up business grants. Additionally, a grant of GMD32.931 million has been approved for the 738 graduates honoured at the ceremony today.
