I find this bizarre. A man with a beautiful wife, five kids, a marriage that works, a great job, and a ward that would carry his casket walks away and says it is not true because of some dumb crap he heard on a John Dehlin podcast.

Look at what he is holding. Forty years of results, every one of them grown from the seed described in the Book of Mormon, in both hands. And he sets them down because an academic footnote came in.

It is a form of madness, a man standing in the orchard declaring the tree never grew, with the juice still on his chin. He did not discover the Church was false. He discovered that he only had one way of asking the question, and it was the wrong one, and nobody ever told him there was another.

He says he lost his testimony. He never lost it. He tucks it into bed every night. He was just never taught what actually defines truth.

I thought I saw something recently that the missionary department was now saying no energy drinks (and no creatine?).
