Communicating the vision and creating short-term wins are powerful steps to effect change. One must understand the vision/purpose in order to be on board and help. Short-term wins help to build momentum and get hesitant individuals to acclimate to/embrace the changes.
I taught #yoga to the most lovely group of #doctors today at Coalition of Asian-American IPA (#CAIPA). I have tremendous respect for those working in #healthcare and it feels good to help working professionals destress after a long day. Here we are happy in tree pose! 🙏
I used this free resource for women/people of color/veterans transitioning into #tech to help me land my first job as a #DataAnalyst: BreakLine Education.
Their public classes on interviewing/salary negotiation were very useful and insightful!

@Abdullah_tech_n Motivation is unreliable. Just keep showing up and putting the work in! Even 3 lines of code is better than zero. Find ways to hold yourself accountable like a study buddy or posting your progress on social media.
Happy Spreadsheet Day to the data fam 🤓
“Spreadsheet Day commemorates the date that VisiCalc, the first spreadsheet program for personal computers, was released – October 17th, 1979.”

Proud of our team for running a very successful 1st annual #PovertySimulation!
In this 3-hour event, participants live through one simulated month in poverty to gain understanding.
“It’s a simulation, not a game.”
One of the many programs our grant team has created for the @HofstraU nursing school. This program is only going to get bigger and better! Happy to be the budgeter and analyst for these impactful projects. #LoveMyJob#mentorship#DEI#HigherEd#HRSA
