@ItsDave_ADA + limited amount of head participants + no inter head communication.
Not really accesible imo right now. DeltaDefi for example uses advanced techniques to handle user funds in the head.
@ItsDave_ADA I am still very disappointed how commits and decommits work.
When participants commit UTxOs to the head, the node operator (me) have to pay for the fees. How can I sustain a freely accessible service utilizing hydra when I have to pay for all these fees. I have to pay for users.
@ItsDave_ADA@TimRR3000 To be honest, I don't know much about voting transactions or Solana's architecture.
I've only read occasionally that the Cardano ledger is quite small compared to Solana.
This is just a basic comparison, without taking into account the type of transactions or the internal arch.
@ItsDave_ADA@TimRR3000 I did a quick calculation and tried to estimate the size of the Cardano ledger with the number of Solana transactions. Assuming it's linear.
112 M Tx —> 192 GB
1 M Tx —> 192/112 —> 1,71 GB
430 000 M Tx —> 735 300 GB
With 400TB it needs less storage
