The officers who arrested Albert Ojwang’ were briefing Eliud Lagat on everything, including their movements, yet Kenyans are now being asked to believe that the briefings suddenly stopped just before Albert was killed and that Lagat somehow became a complete stranger to the operation.

That story does not add up.

You cannot receive updates throughout an operation, follow the movements of the officers involved and then conveniently disappear from the chain of communication at the exact moment the operation turns deadly.

Kenyans are not stupid, and any attempt to isolate junior officers while Eliud Lagat is treated as though he knew nothing must be rejected.

One day, I was in a boda boda stage and I heard them talking about the Public debts.

I listened then I interrupted and asked them a very simple question.

" Nyinyi kama bodaboda, si mko na SACCO?"

They said yes.

" Na kwa hii SACCO yenu, si mko na chairman, Deputy Chairman na Treasurer?"

They said yes and I went on.

" Now imagine your Chairman, his Deputy and the Treasurer waamue saa hii waende Equity Bank, wachukue loan na jina ya SACCO thirty million bila kuwauliza, alafu hiyo pesa iende kwa accounts zao watumie kwa matumizi yao ya kibinafsi, then one day Equity Bank comes to you SACCO members that you have a loan to pay. You never consented, you never saw the money, do you allow your contributions to be used in paying that loan?"

MAJAMAA waliruka bwana, " hiyo hatuwezi bwana. John ( SACCO chairman) mkijaribu hiyo tunawaua."

Thereafter, I told them that that is the situation we are in as a country.

A situation where we are being overtaxed to pay debts we never incurred.

Karen Nyamu MUST step down or be removed from the Senate!!

What happened to that student in Senate was deeply inappropriate and honestly very uncomfortable to watch. A child walked into a national institution under a school program and somehow ended up being spoken about in a suggestive manner by an adult holding public office.

And no, we will not reduce this to “Karen just being Karen..” There are certain lines that should never be crossed, especially when children are involved!!

A young girl should be able to walk into Senate and leave feeling inspired, respected and safe, not embarrassed, sexualized or turned into the center of inappropriate remarks in front of an entire room and the country.

Public office comes with responsibility, maturity and self-control. If someone cannot understand the weight of their words around minors, then they honestly should not continue occupying such a position.

And honestly, this entire situation raises very serious questions about how Karen Nyamu even ended up in the Senate in the first place.

Who nominates these people?
What exactly is the criteria?
What values are being rewarded?
What kind of conduct qualifies someone to represent Kenyans at that level?

Because if this is the standard being normalized in our public institutions, then we genuinely have a deeper crisis as a country.

An apology alone is not enough. There must be accountability.

There's a very disturbing story which was aired yesterday.

Her name is Irene Kawira.

Irene is stuck in India where she is detained together with her son in a hospital over a Ksh 1.3M hospital bill.

Irene says that the hospital has stopped giving her meals and even water.

She has been given up to 15th May 2026 to clear the bill.

What happens after that, is another story.

Back in Kenya, Aden Duale said that SHA is working and is covering for patients abroad.

That begs the question, is Irene not a Kenyan? Is it that she's a child of lesser God or is it that SHA has been designed to function like Aviator?

Irene needs help and her country must not abandon her.

He was abducted and put in remand for over 500 days, his health has deteriorated, and still he walks into the courtroom with a quiet, determined stance.

It reminds you that dignity is its own form of resistance.

I am back in Kampala today as part of his legal team. From the beginning, this case has been defined by illegality, deliberate delays, and systematic violations of due process. Our resolve to stand against that has not wavered.

Our Jumuiya continues to face threats of democratic erosion, but we continue to stand against it.

I have received a call from Lucy Waweru, the lady whom I mistakenly sent Ksh 30000 yesterday. She says that she lives in Mpeketoni with her younger sister and her 3 kids — a single mother for that matter.

That yesterday when she received the money, her phone had low battery at 3% and her area has had no electricity now for a whole week. Eti wanatumia solar kucharge simu na wanaishi mbali na town centre.

That immediately she received the money alitransfer kwa number ya sister yake out of shock. That hana kazi. Eti tangu bwana yake amuache, life imekuwa ngumu mno. She has been selling Korosho huko mtaani ndiyo watoto wake wapate chakula lakini kwa sasa biashara imerudi chini.

What surprises me ni kwamba baada ya kunipigia simu, I received Ksh 29600 from her. Coz she is honest, nimeamua kumbless na 50K afungue kibanda ya kuuza mboga hapo Mpeketoni town juu ile job yenye nilimuahidi inahitaji mtu alisomea computer na yeye hakusoma beyond class 8.

I'm hoping that she will pick her pieces from there. Lucy, may God bless you.

The World Bank has debarred PwC Africa, PwC Kenya, and PwC Rwanda for 21 months (from March 17, 2026, to December 16, 2027) from participating in Bank-financed projects over collusive and fraudulent practices linked to a 2014 Ethiopia power integration contract.

— The firms obtained confidential procurement information, attempted to improperly influence contract awards, misrepresented key expert availability, and failed to fully disclose subcontractors.
— The sanction renders PwC entities ineligible for World Bank–financed projects during the debarment period, with potential cross-debarment by other MDBs.
— In simple terms, PwC admitted wrongdoing, cooperated, and agreed to fix its systems, so the ban is limited and conditional rather than permanent.

A new bill in Parliament seeks to amend the Kenya Citizenship and Immigration Act.

The bill says:

— Kenya will create an official register for stateless people living in the country.
— There will be no time limit for stateless residents to apply for citizenship.
— Applicants can show communication in Kiswahili, a local dialect, or accessible formats for people with disabilities.
— They no longer need to declare an intention to permanently reside in Kenya.
