A group of anti-mass migration activists has delivered the ‘Save Europe Act’, which has gathered over 500K signatures, to the European Parliament.

Sinn Féin MEP Lynn Boylan, in an EU Committee meeting complains that she is prevented from being able to speak in Irish, implying there is no translation service available for Irish speakers. She is told, on the spot, that there is, (compliments of the European taxpayer). She then says she can't do it because she didn't prepare. The proverbial 'dog that caught the bus'.
This is really important data crunching by @Nick_Delehanty - have a read of it. It lays out the numbers coming to work, where they are from and where they are working from tech, to meat packing and healthcare. Great work.
"Defending Free Europe?"
Ukraine is winning so hard it has to now use police and paid abduction gangs to steal the last men for Ursulas War.
The EU also admitted today it will start shipping men back to die
Ben Scallan argues that the Parnell Square attack should spark a broader discussion about citizenship, describing Riad Bouchaker receiving citizenship as a "disgrace":
"We hand out citizenship like sweets in this country with zero quality control."
I was on Newstalk this morning discussing something that's been on my mind for a while: why does Ireland ask so little of people applying for citizenship, when almost every other country in Europe asks for more?
Spain requires a language exam and a civics test with a 60% pass mark. Germany requires B1 language plus a 33-question test on German society and law. France introduced a mandatory civic exam this year, alongside a B2 language requirement for naturalisation.
Ireland asks for neither.
This conversation has been prompted by the Bouchaker case, and I want to be careful here: I'm not saying that case proves language causes crime, and the Taoiseach was right to make that point. But it does show up a wider gap in our system, one where someone can gain citizenship without ever demonstrating a working knowledge of the language or the civic life of this country.
That's not about being harsh. It's about bringing Ireland's rules in line with what the rest of Europe already does. Have a listen to the interview and let me know what you think.
BREAKING: ENOCH BURKE SPEAKS OUT AGAINST LIES AND MISREPRESENTATION
Orla O'Connor is the Legal Affairs Correspondent for RTÉ, the state broadcaster. In her report today, she failed to report one word of what Enoch Burke spoke in today's High Court hearing.
Judge Brian Cregan said that Enoch Burke can have his religious belief “outside the gate” of Wilson's Hospital School. The Constitution states otherwise: “freedom of conscience and the free profession and practice of religion… guaranteed to every citizen” (Article 44.2.1). Judge Cregan’s function and role on the bench is to uphold that Constitution, not his own ideas.
The topic of the Court’s judgment this morning was how much Enoch Burke will be fined.
The same Court has never dealt with the rights and wrongs of a School Principal demanding a teacher to use the “they” pronoun and a new name for a student in a classroom. This was Principal Niamh McShane’s demand of all teachers in Wilson's Hospital School. This was the basis for Enoch Burke's suspension - his refusal to comply with Principal McShane's demand.
Judge Brian Cregan has closed his eyes to the Principal’s instruction and refused to vindicate Enoch Burke’s constitutional rights.
Separately Judge Cregan is proposing to ban Martina Burke, Dr Isaac Burke and Ammi Burke from attending court hearings. No particulars have been provided by Judge Cregan for why this sanction is being proposed. The Court has not addressed serious concerns raised in correspondence to the Court by Martina Burke, Dr Isaac Burke and Ammi Burke, and Judge Cregan misrepresented the nature of that correspondence in Court this morning.
She wants to know the climate action plan.
The best plan I can think of is to stop listing to alarmists, abolish carbon tax, stop building cycle lanes on busy roads, get rid of the bottle scheme and start digging for our own oil.
IPAS operators were issued work visas too.
We estimate that 70 companies involved in IPAS been granted over 250 work-permits in total.
Holyrood Hotel (Bundoran) Limited has 14 employees on work visas, 33% of total staff. It has been paid €6million+ since 2022 by the State.
However, the overall biggest sector for work visas is Healthcare.
27.3% of the total.
Cork University Hospital: 1,422 permits
Galway University Hospital 1,246
St. Vincent's: 1,149
Beaumont: 1,070
Waterford University Hospital: 1,050
Children's Health Ireland: 972
Before we begin, its important to state that people coming to work is, for the most part, a good thing.
However, like all policies we need to make sure the end result is to the overall benefit of Irish citizens.
That the system is not being abused and is working as intended etc.
Only by understanding the data we are simply better informed, all set out on https://t.co/eRVEVXCC8L
Zelensky is killing the elderly!
A defenseless old grandfather was sitting peacefully on a bench when Zelensky’s commissars brutally beat him and dragged him off to die in war.
His granddaughter couldn’t fight back against the armed gang - and now she’s left an orphan.
Ukrainians are held captive! Who will free them?!
Ukrainians have been here for more than four years, and other countries stopped providing accommodation and additional supports years ago. We cannot keep funnelling taxpayers’ money into providing supports over and above what any Irish person is entitled to.
Remove the accommodation payment.
Remove the automatic entitlement to medical cards.
Stop paying for pet boarding, including veterinary bills.
Encourage more Ukrainians to work, as they have one of the highest rates of unemployment.
Around 84,739 Ukrainian temporary protection beneficiaries appear to still be active in Ireland.
Approximately 62,700 are aged 20 or over.
In May 2026, 31,069 people had earnings from employment. The remainder include disabled people, pensioners, students and unemployed people. However, no detailed figures are available from the Government, surprise, surprise. The figure is clearly high and is very disproportionate to the national unemployment rate of less than 5%.
It is time for Ukrainian people to work and pay for their own accommodation, medical bills, pets and other expenses, just like everybody else.
