@XOQueenEsther I think the dysfunction of the family can not be over stated. I remember The Princess being portrayed as tenderly cradling her bump while The Dutchess in the same condition was the "cat who got the cream". The ability of those at the top to control family members is cruel.

@PolitiBunny Worry more about the Domestic Violence gun based crimes in Oklahoma or Alabama for a change. Women and children die by DV in extraordinary numbers in Red states. Fix that and quit worrying about hearing multiple languages in the village square. Damn them multilingual poors!

@PolitiBunny Ummm.... I spend a lot of time in NYC it is well run (commute time traffic control is amazing) for such a large city. I have little doubt there is some "underreporting" of crime but Florida is comparatively worse than NYC. Stop obsessing about yer blue hell hole theories.

@brownmp @SeanTrende Maybe they break out in hives because Jesus ain't really a part of their lives. I call them salvation Christians. They are like the Rice Christians or Wheat Christians of the early 20th century missionary movements. Salvation Christians are selfish and sin filled.

@JeffClarkUS My DD turned down Harvard Law for a merit based near full ride a little farther down the food chain. She found some of the Fed Soc types limited intellectually and some fun to discuss baseball stat minutiae. Most of those destined for clerking and/or Big Law had no time to date.

@JeffClarkUS My beloved was a Republican all his life but no more. I was slightly more to the left but have become a burn it all down. I am very well off after starting out poor. I do not appreciate authoritarians be they Mao, Orban Trump or Putin or King George III.
