IT WAS ALL ABOUT ED POWER GAMES…ED worked with Tshabangu to engineer illegal recalls that ultimately handed ZANU-PF a fraudulent two-thirds parliamentary majority, in clear violation of both the law and democratic principles.
Unfortunately, when the recalls began, many failed to recognize that this was part of a long-planned strategy orchestrated by ED. It was never about the claims that the CCC lacked a constitution or formal structures. In Zimbabwe you can not submit party candidates to ZEC without a party constitution. Parliament and Mudenda were in possession of CCC constitution but chose to ignore it on instructions from his Zpf Boss. Those no constitution and nil structures narratives were merely a smokescreen.
Some individuals, driven by their disagreements with Nelson Chamisa, celebrated the recalls, unaware that they were in fact celebrating the erosion of democracy and the weakening of our nation. The foundation for the current constitutional amendment agenda was laid in 2023 through those engineered and unlawful recalls.
However, all is not lost. The real struggle lies ahead. The task before us is to continue fighting for a Citizens' Government—one that reflects the true will and aspirations of the people of Zimbabwe. The future of our country depends on the determination of its citizens to defend voice, agency and fundamental rights .
The other angle to the story of the Good Samaritan.
The man who was robbed was attacked on a road that was known to be notorious for having robbers lying in wait. Now, we often make a message that since he was on that road he probably got what was coming. However, a different view is that no one did anything to dismantle the treachery that obtained in that road. While the Good Samaritan helped the dying man, providing us with a great example of always being prepared to help, however the system that creates victims was left intact. While it is good to donate and construct structures to help people, we must always ask the deeper questions on how to tackle the systems that leave people in those hard situations. Unjust laws, discrimination, systematic disenfranchisement often kicks people to the curb and while we can certainly help, the question still remains, what are we to do about the systems that all but guarantee a steady stream of victims. Isaiah 58 speaks of doing away with the yoke of oppression, the pointing finger and malicious talk and spending ourselves on behalf of the hungry, repairing the broken walls and the restoration of human dignity for the downtrodden. The road to Jericho needs to be dismantled and the robbers that lie in wait need not terrorize anyone any more. Faith plus agency = social change.

Wicknell speaks with the confidence of a man whose footnotes have never been checked. It's an interesting strategy: maximum volume, minimum transparency. Unfortunately, history is littered with people who mistook public applause for permanent immunity.
Good morning 5am club. Never re-friend a person that has tried to destroy your character, your money or your relationship. A snake only sheds its skin to become a bigger snake.🌺
@NgarivhumeJ In 2018, ZEC told us that by 17:30 only 175 000 people had voted in Mash Central. When the final results were announced, we were told an extra 375 000 voters had voted by 19:00hrs.
It’s beautifully simple sportsmanship: “May the best man win.” Of course, it helps immensely if the rulebook was printed by your own printer, bound by your own parliament, and executed by your own hand. At that point, it’s not a race; it’s just a victory lap with extra steps.
🔸Leave the people out of your power-grabbing, cartel gang-driven demolition of the Constitution. This has nothing to do with the people and everything to do with clinging on to power to enrich political elites while the masses get poorer. It’s a shame.
We need new leaders.🇿🇼
If parliament can't even be truthful on the submitted emails you think it will have the probity to select a president? There has to be personal & irreversible individual costs so that no one in future will ever contemplate playing with people's livelihoods!
