@garfie_baby@Sibuna_Switch Huge thanks for the bug report! The DLC TMs and other moves should be live. Feel free to reach out again if it's missing anything else!
@Other_Time_Trav@ProfessorTops Yeah, exactly. I know of multiple research discords where many people would have been interested to see the collected data and provide feedback. That's about the best we can do for Pokemon, honestly. Unless we wanted a peer-reviewed "psuedo-journal" for community research
@ProfessorTops@Other_Time_Trav All the community is asking is that Rex consider the impact claims like this can make on the broader community, take down the original image, make a correction, and consider how to adjust for future research. That's it!
Again, we'll need data for Gen 10, so let's do it right.
@ProfessorTops@Other_Time_Trav Anubis pointed out the lack of data, posted out the consequences of the format it was presented in, and made a correction. And this is the second time Rex's claims have been demonstrably false.
I am all in on research and data! But this is pokemon on social media after launch.
@RexProfessor Hey, I appreciate you're collecting data, but back when SV came out, I calculated how much data you actually need to collect before you can make definitive claims about shiny rates.
Basically, you're going to need at *least* 10x the data.

Hello everyone!
I thought I'd share a table I made for how you can prove that dataminers are wrong about shiny rates for hunts in #PokemonScarletViolet. All you need to do is get a bunch of shinies and track of your exact encounters!
@metayoshi11@ItsPapaJefe I created the accurate PLZA calculator, specifically for PLZA, you can see how Beldum works with stats directly from the game with the full datamined catch function here: https://t.co/UMS587lZA9
(thanks Anubis)
@unreal014@ItsPapaJefe If Heavy Ball didn't change Beldum's catch rate from 20 to 1, you might be on to something. However, Heavy Ball and Beldum make it extremely difficult even when KO'd/"dizzy" to catch, you can see the numbers here: https://t.co/UMS587lZA9
@DailyShadow12@ItsPapaJefe Catch rate doesn't actually go negative. It's a negative direct modifier to Beldum's catch rate (-20 against PLZA's 20), but since USUM they've had checks to make sure the rates are never negative or zero (otherwise it would be completely impossible to catch).
@jhsnbdr @ItsPapaJefe With a Heavy Ball, even when shiny and knocked out, Beldum has a 0.16% chance of capture even with every other bonus you can throw at it. KOing is extremely effective against other Pokemon and Balls, but not in this case.
https://t.co/UMS587lZA9
@metayoshi11@ItsPapaJefe Beldum's catch rate was changed to 20 in PLZA, but a Heavy Ball takes it down to 1 (safety check since USUM) so Heavy Ball is still just as bad as past games.
@LiamPrice413@metayoshi11@ItsPapaJefe Yes, Heavy Ball modifies the Pokemon's catch rate directly before applying any other multiplicative "bonuses", so for Beldum you go from a base catch rate of 20 to 1 (safety check), which is so hard to boost.
@GigaHyperSpace@ItsPapaJefe Dusk Ball doesn't work in this area either. Dusk Ball only affects the dark (source: me and Anubis that worked on this calculator: https://t.co/rMkNsPr0qh
Hey everyone! Thanks to @Sibuna_Switch, we've figured out how catching works in Pokémon Legends: Z-A! We've built a cool tool to help you catch your favorite Pokémon!
@RadiantRectangl As for your "hundreds of times" how do you know you've actually thrown the ball hundreds of times? Are you keeping track? When reporting stuff like this, it really helps to have some video evidence or other proof. The calculator is implemented following the datamine.
