could we potentially had a customer option for users where they can decide what model to use when.
Say if I am asking cursor to move somethings, changing radius, color, ideally in that use case, I would love to use auto, but for more complex use cases I may want to use GPT-5.5 or Opus.
I tend to switch models manually a lot based on what I am doing, but I would love to cement that workflow so that I don't have to change manually every single time.
If this is already possible would love how to do that. Thanks a lot for the amazing work always!
@ericzakariasson@ericzakariasson how did you get the remotion UI to appear? I am using remotion on a project inside of cursor but I don't see their UI and would love to learn how to.
Thanks in advance 🙏🏿
Interesting take @rauchg
While AI is a master of replication, it still struggles to imagine groundbreaking UX for the AI era. We’re in a "skeuomorphic" phase, co-authoring new patterns in real-time and I don't think that discovery process can run on auto-pilot just yet.
AI lacks the empathy to produce solutions that feel truly human. Groundbreaking design requires the intuition to "break the rules" in ways a .md file can't anticipate. Agents will handle the scale, but humans provide the soul and the "why."
To me, AI is a PhD encyclopedia trapped in the mind of a child. It needs steering by a curious, investigative mindset to turn raw intelligence into a lived experience. The future of design isn't about the speed of the output; it’s about the depth of the intent. Automation gives us the factory, but humans still provide the vision.
@ryolu_ This would be great on iPad! being able to draw directly on screen, draw in new components, etc… I usually use @CleanShot to take screenshot and draw wireframes on existing screen and then send that to AI.
I find that to work better at least for me @ryolu_@leerob
@cursor_ai what happened to the old design panel @cursor_ai, it wasn't perfect but I like that it allows us to more easily select the correct div instead of just first selected div
At the very least of not the entire panel, bring back a way to select elements precisely.

@cursor_ai not sure if this is a bug, but getting a message that I have reached my monthly limits when the chart shows that I have abt 15% remaining.
More although I have already set up on-demand usage, I continue getting this message :/
It would be great to add sth similar to balsamic where one can design at a low fidelity, show his different screens connect to one another, etc… with added notes z that will be a great complement to just writing.
Looking forward to see what the team is cooking @ryolu_ 🙌🏿
Always fun reading your thoughts otherwise. Lot of wisdom and vision of a bright future 🙏🏿
@tomjohndesign@cursor_ai@figma@framer@tomjohndesign Completely agree. There is beauty and simplicity in just making a change directly on the canvas versus prompts the AI and edit the code.
I love that @cursor_ai is bringing that level of control directly to the IDE.
@rakshaa_t Looking forward to watching that @rakshaa_t 🙌🏿
Also love how you are leveraging different tools to design and create. Great work and workflow!
@ryolu_@ericzakariasson thanks. Happy to hear that!
Love where the platform is going haven't switched back to editor layout since the new agent layout came out ✨
