I pushed the first big update to my #PictureWindow project tonight.
I fixed a bunch of bugs, cleaned up the code and UI, and hopefully made it even easier to use.
If you check it out, please let me know what you think.

@dougnorthcook I was told one of them had a spec list so asked and got this ๐
Going to have to have a talk on fundamentals and managing expectations.
I imagine most parts were mentioned on YT, but really curious how that Pentium 4 cooler got in the mix ๐
@dougnorthcook Ah so they are starting from a full functioning rig?
I wasn't sure if I should go that route or have them build it all up from the start, but it sounds like hitting the ground running might be the better strategy.
@FreyaHolmer Not nearly as old as the RCA, but shorter cable length for the same year connector as VGA.
RJ45 has managed to hold on to relevancy though (I actually keep this exact cable in my bag), so pretty solid career here.
@thedak This post, plus a few other people on here watching it recently, had me throw Hackers on last night.
No regrets.
Actually picked up more references and found even more to like about it than I already did, which was interesting.
As engineers had feared, the 900-ton platform suspended above the Arecibo Observatory collapsed onto the telescopeโs giant dish overnight. https://t.co/SgOHTNW9O9
I very distinctly remember learning about this on Reading Rainbow when I was only a few years old and finding it fascinating and beautiful.
I would even go as far as to say that episode specifically is what opened my mind to what else could be out there.
Wondering if this had anything to do with $KOPN popping off today...
Either way, both indicate to me progress and moreso a lack of stagnation that has me excited to see what's to come.
@gameism Yeah, I was thinking that for the first part of the season, but knew they would pull this again. It's when it gets grind-y that ruins it. Best of luck in your quest.
@gameism I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. Definitely have sunk far too many hours that I didn't even enjoy playing just to complete objectives.
I stopped playing this season a couple weeks ago while I moved and am not missing the challenge anxiety.
@_Gaeel_ Speaking of lack of friction, I really love it being shared embedded in a webpage. It took no effort to try it out and I likely wouldn't have taken the time to download and run a file, even though it would only be slightly longer.
@_Gaeel_ Definitely got the "powerful and speedy" vibe down, but the immediate turn-in when braking is what's killing the drifting.
If it carried more momentum in the direction it was going before turning I think it would feel more loose and slidey and fun.
@reg_inee I had the pleasure of teaming up with @lisaachoko at the @mitrealityhack last year. Fellow educator and awesome designer. I could see you two having a lot to talk about.
