Baloch Literacy Campaign

Baloch Literacy Campaign highlights the declining condition of the Government Primary School Nooria Rizvia of Dera Murad Jamali, district of Naseerabad.
The school, at the current basis, is almost demolished and the infrastructure is on the verge of worsening. The school’s former infrastructure was dismantled several years ago due to rains and various causes. The school has about above 30 students enrolled faced with several obstacles, including unsafe infrastructure, lack of classrooms and essential facilities.

The school is located behind a railway station which causes a vulnerable situation when the train passes nearby, causing an unsafe environment. Alongside the deprivation of basic resources, the overall school’s teaching staff includes a single teacher which is causing academic hurdles. The current condition of the school reflects the educational system in the region of Naseerabad.

Baloch Students Action Committee , through its literacy campaign urges the concerned authorities to ensure immediate action for the development of the school and providing the children with safe and reliable academic environment.

Baloch Literacy Campaign

The Baloch Students Action Committee, through the Baloch Literacy Campaign, expresses its grave concerns over the non-functionality of the Government Primary Schools in District Chagai, Balochistan. The said area is known as one of the resource-rich regions, yet it is ignored in basic education—a fundamental right for every child. The schools listed below are totally non-functional in terms of education:

1. Government Primary School Killi Muhammad Azam, Tehsil and District Chagai.
2. Government Primary School Killi Shah Faisal, Tehsil and District Chagai.
3. Government Primary School Dost Abad, Tehsil and District Chagai.
4. Government Primary School Killi Haji Siddique Salekhan, Tehsil Dalbandin, District Chagai.

The above-mentioned schools comprise many students according to the population of the region, but suffer completely from a shortage of teaching staff. The schools either do not have teachers or the assigned teachers do not attend their respective schools. Moreover, the said schools totally lack the adequate resources and facilities necessarily required for a school and its students. The school buildings now present a ruined picture instead of well-sheltered facilities. This situation has had a very destructive effect on the students’ educational careers. The local population views it as very unfortunate and uncertain.

The Baloch Students Action Committee is deeply disturbed by such a situation in a region like Chagai and Dalbandin, and asks the government and the concerned authorities to not only take notice of this issue, but also take appropriate measures on an urgent basis. The safety of the educational careers of the children of that area is highly critical and needs urgent attention from government bodies, particularly from the education sector. We demand the renovation of the schools along with adequate teaching staff as soon as possible.

Baloch Literacy Campaign expresses its grave concern over the poor educational conditions in Dolehri Korask, Khuzdar, Balochistan. The said region comprises hundreds of children who are deprived of basic education.

The entire area has only one primary school, and the students travel one and a half hours on foot to attend classes. However, the said school lacks sufficient teaching staff, proper shelter, transportation facilities, and other basic amenities highly necessary for a school.

The population of this area is dispersed, yet it has only one primary school, where primary-level students cover a long distance of one and a half hours to attend classes, which is very concerning. Such a difficult situation has never been addressed by any government authority, including the education department. This is not an isolated case, but the whole of Balochistan is facing an educational system falling into crisis.

The Baloch Students Action Committee (@BSAC_org), through its Literacy Campaign (@BLC_BSAC ), expresses its concerns about this issue and asks the concerned authorities to take immediate steps to address this critical situation for the students of that area.

It focuses on the educational crisis in Balochistan pointing a very low literacy rate, highlighting a growing gap of students in getting admission in schools.

Baloch Students Action Committee, through its Literacy Campaign (@BLC_BSAC BLC), Expresses Concern Over the Non-Functionality of Schools in Dera Bugti, Balochistan.

Report by Baloch Literacy Campaign

The Baloch Literacy Campaign is deeply concerned over the total closure or partial functionality of several schools in Dera Bugti, Balochistan, as well as the severe shortage of teachers and resources in the area. The district of Dera Bugti has been facing a constant and alarming decline in its literacy ratio due to the total closure of multiple schools and a lack of essential resources for their basic functionality.

The team of the Baloch Literacy Campaign has collected data on various schools in the district that are currently facing drastic challenges, including total dysfunctionality and the absence of adequate resources. The following data and information on several schools reveal the unfortunate condition of schooling and education in Dera Bugti:

1. Government Boys Primary School Killi Sahib, Khan Behlooti, Dera Bugti is currently completely closed due to the absence of allocated teachers. The lack of teaching staff has deprived the students of their basic right to education and has brought the functioning of the school to a complete halt.
2. Government Middle School Killi Nabi Bux Perozani, Tehsil Singseela has approximately 50 enrolled students. However, due to the lack of teachers, the school is unable to function properly. The shortage of teaching staff has severely affected the educational activities of the school.
3. Government High School Killi Wadera Haji Dalelaan, Sarloop is the only high school in the area. Despite its importance to the local community, the school has remained closed for 8 years. This prolonged closure has deprived an entire generation of students of basic education.
4. Government Primary School Killi Yaseen has been facing a shortage of teachers and necessary staff, resulting in the closure and irregular functioning of the school for years. The constant absence of teaching staff has left the school unable to provide regular educational opportunities.
5. Government Primary Boys School Killi Raza Mohammad Town, Dera Bugti lacks basic facilities and essential staff, including teachers. Due to these conditions, the school is currently completely closed, further depriving children in the area of their fundamental right to education.
6.Government Primary School Peer Sori, Dera Bugti, has been non-functional for a long time. The students in this area are deprived of attending their classes and receiving education. The school faces a shortage of teaching staff and other essential resources, including adequate shelter, proper desks for sitting, and basic facilities.

The situations described above reflect the severe challenges faced by the local community in the education sector. The total closure of schools, shortage of teaching staff, and lack of educational resources are not merely administrative failures; they are barriers that directly affect the future of children and the education of the district. As education is a fundamental right, and every child reserves this very right and opportunity conferred in the Constitution, to learn, regardless of their location nationality and gender. The continued closure of schools in Dera Bugti is a grave concern and requires immediate administrative action.

The Baloch Students Action Committee (@BSAC_org), under the banner of the Baloch Literacy Campaign, urges the concerned authorities to take immediate and practical steps to functionalize these schools, appoint the required teachers, and provide basic necessary services for a better learning environment. The educational rights of the students in Dera Bugti must not be neglected, and the closure of these schools must be addressed with urgency.
