To distract everyone from the devastating NIH news, I recommend reading this Mirror Image Life discussion in Science magazine https://t.co/d3fE2tthux or popular press https://t.co/eEasWsa0OT and our view on this topic: TLDR: do not forget about Glycans! https://t.co/OnINCCkJlW
The liquid lectin array detects compositional glycocalyx differences using multivalent DNA-encoded lectins on phage by Guilherme Meira Lima, @RatmirDerda@derda_lab, et al. at @UAlberta@StanfordUChem@usponline https://t.co/VrLnraMuBf
Excited to share our latest work on DNA-encoded liquid lectin array! This work would not have been possible without the amazing support and contributions of my colleagues at the University of Alberta!
Congrats to all the GlycoNet researchers on their paper about the liquid lectin array (LiLA), which uses DNA-encoded #lectins to detect subtle glycocalyx differences and enhance our understanding of #glycan composition.

@CellChemBiol publication of Liquid Lectin Array (LiLA) led by Guilherme Meira Lima (https://t.co/PByIXNxccX) PhD Student from @derda_lab and co-authors from @MatthewMacaule4 Lab, @glycocode (Lara Mahal), Raymond Lai et al, now in https://t.co/M8WP5gPB3Z
The Liquid Lectin Array (LiLA) paper is out in @CellChemBiol. Congratulations to @Guilher63551077 for this amazing publication and it was my privilege to play a [small] part in this project. #Siglec#Glycotime#Phage#Glycans

Congrats to the GlycoNet team on this important research that advances our understanding of how glycans interact with proteins on live cells using the LiGA platform!

A big thank you to @RatmirDerda and @MatthewMacaule4 for their mentorship! This wouldn't have reached the finish line without a lot of help from @Guilher63551077@ednschmidt, Kelli (Macauley lab) and all past and presents members of @derda_lab
DNA-encoded, Liquid Glycan Array (LiGA) and its application to cell-surface profiling is out in @NatureProtocols . Big thanks to @miratsojitra for leading the effort and @MatthewMacaule4 + members of Macaluley Lab and @derda_lab ! https://t.co/x4XkZZHIbg
This protocol follows previous publication from our lab describing ways to synthesize LiGA using synthetic glycans (https://t.co/9H9HZo4gGP) or direct chemoenzymatic synthesis of N-glycans on phage (https://t.co/6llFdySoLN)
Check it out!
Exciting news from @tracy6528! 🎉 Check out her latest paper on 'Chemoenzymatic synthesis of genetically-encoded multivalent liquid N-glycan arrays' available online now. 📚🔬 https://t.co/tzTTVadAja
Congratulations to our friend @miratsojitra who is now officially Dr. Sojitra. We are so proud of you. People will talk about how great you are as a scientist but we (Ann and me) will always remember you as our great friend.
Here we show that peptide-glycan chimera can be made on the same instrument on solid support. Next, an instrument to make #glycopeptides for #glycotime studies will be revealed.
Really proud to have worked with this guy and to have watched him grow both as a scientist and as a human being over his undergrad career. Congrats, @ryannqiu! :)
