The Grizzlies are actively tanking and decimated by injuries. They’re missing about ten regular rotation players, including their regular starters and quality bench players like Ty Jerome, Santi Aldama and Scotty Pippen Jr.

The Suns are missing Dillon Brooks and Mark Williams, but are still fighting to maintain the seventh seed and even push for the sixth seed to get out of the play-in. They’re in great form at the moment, having beat the Jazz by 25 points last game and beating the Raptors by 22 points two games before that. The Grizzlies, on the other hand, have lost by 20+ in three of their last five games.

Over the last ten games, the Grizzlies have the sixth worst defensive rating while the Suns have the 11th best offensive rating. In that same span, the Grizzlies are top ten in 3PM allowed while the Suns are tied-third for the most 3PM. That can lead to a huge point differential.
