Proof-of-work Mining in your browser || Punch in a Boy @minepitderp and Mine $DERP || Decentralised Entropy from Recycled Proofs

[DerpWorks - $DERP @derp_works]

1/11

This is StonkPit. A mining floor on Robinhood Chain.

People do real SHA-256 work in a browser and get paid in a token. The byproduct of that work is randomly/disordered numbers. Other projects buy the number. The money from those sales, and from a few other places, all lands in one bid under the token — a bid that only goes up.

That loop is the whole product. The rest of this thread is just walking the wheel.

Gm, over the last few days we've (the boys and I - in discord and x chat) been testing out the new version of $ DERP Mining on the new, rebranded, rebuild, and thoroughly upgraded site https://t.co/0Od8EacIdS @derp_works (blue check won't let me edit the X account yet),

If you want to join in with the bugs, testing, and features and suggestions - please feel free.

--
There's a snazzy walkthrough to get you started, some free mining credits and you get to mine some totally worthless fderp (fake derp),

Thanks

derp DERP,

--

Oh, and it's totally gasless now

Oh oh, and all of the txn volume and records lane on @ApeChainHUB - with 2000+ ledger writes to ApeChain so far

Oh oh oh, and there's now a conductor on ApeChain, and RH, and soon Base, and Eth, and...

If you know any project that needs RNG on any chain - holla at ya boy.

Oh oh oh oh, and the RNG is now Cheaper, Faster, and More secured - practically VRF grade.

Ohhhhhhhh, and every single mining session 'should' (when we go live with real DERP) - be profitable at Merchant prices (still working on some economics but yeah... literally free money).

Ohhhhhhh oh, and you can use @minepitderp Boys on any Chain they live on - Ape as MineBoys, RH as PitBoys... and...
Oh you can also mine WAYYY MORE boys per Machine, with Pooled CPU mining or GPU accelerated Mining a an iphone can now handle like 700 boys in 1 browser tab.

[DerpWorks - $DERP @derp_works]

If you Mined any Genesis you can withdraw it and trade it now,

[0x2F43c0FA1EB1442819A49A377eC7c96738C97C63 is the CA](https://t.co/Xhn6UttZv0)

The Test coin for DerpPad just completed the full lifecycle.

GENESIS: 16-day launch, 75 miners, 1,091 mining claims, 6.6M of 21M mined on the StonkPit floor.

At the deadline everything unmined — 15.4M GENESIS plus the 0.21 ETH launch pot — graduated into a Uniswap pool with the LP locked one-way, forever. Settlement entropy came from certified floor prints, not an oracle.

You redeem your mined amount here: https://t.co/HX4s7YuT7p

ON Graduation the Merchant's funds (0.1837 ETH) plus its 367k-coin inventory folded into the graduation pot, and that's now part of the one-way locked LP. So post-graduation the locked Uniswap pool replaces the Merchant as the permanent buy-side: holders sell at market price into liquidity that can never be pulled, instead of selling at a floor line to the Merchant.

Like the Borin Odoh NFT collection it served/serves only as the test of DerpPad - there's nothing else for it at this point other than it proved it worked - and provided clear bugs/improvements that are needed before anybody can launch a token through derppad.

Feel free to participate in degeneracy though, it's a token, it can trade, do whatever you want with it.

You Mined them all out in 3-4 days? Great Work, I appreciate everyone who participated in the Test - and will get back to work on Improving it.

And provide a Full Report on how the DerpPad Mine-to-Mint Test went.

Borin' Odoh goes live tonight in The DerpPad!

Around 21:00 GMT we run the last checks and open The Pit for NFT Mining.

You will need a Stonkbroker or PitBoy to Mine with.

1,024 spirits. Same shifts you already work - every clock-out has a chance at landing a claim.

Pre-reveal until we flip the art.

Mining on https://t.co/N7LckyBNrV and Odoh website is https://t.co/YXEoYRLMy1

-

We did have some teething problems with Opensea Yesterday, so depending on how that is resolved with OS, there might be a few more changes to make before it's Publicly available.

https://t.co/N7LckyBNrV

[DerpWorks - $DERP @derp_works]

THE MAW - aka The Odoh Merchant

The Mining Contract has a Built in Merchant - where we'll be seeding 1.1eth. - this will mean that every Claim of an Odoh is backed by Eth and is profitable to sell to the Merchant.

This Merchant only ever goes up (just like the Derp Merchant) and has 5% Secondary Royalties feeding into it too - Just like Derp - all sales on secondary or as inventory from the Merchant Increase the 'Total Lifetime Earnings'(TLE) of the Merchant.

It backs TLE/(supply)1024.
e.g. 1.1 divided by 1024 equals 0.00107421875.
and the start claim price is 0.0001 and the end claim price is 0.001

60% of Each claim goes into the Merchant too, so the final Mine-out Value TLE of the Odoh Merchant will be higher than 1.1.

Claims work on a Curve, from (first)0.0001-0.001(last)

Claims are 1 at a time, because each claim is randomly assigned an Id via The Conductor - so it's a case of

Faster Fingers First, and Luckiest Miners First.

This IS a TEST of the DerpPad, where hopefully, if it all works smoothly the Feature will go live for anyone to create.

StonkPit day 20. The shakeout is on — and it's paying everyone who stayed.

Mining costs real money and real work: paid activations, paid clock-ins, an entropy fee at 84% of its sealed max.

Miners who came to extract and dump DERP can't run profitable at these costs, so they're switching off. Fewer active miners means higher DERP rewards and cheaper Mining Fees. Both moved this week. Numbers below.

Bigger shifts. The Index eases when clock-outs slow. Blue has been off the 90 cap for a day (85-87): mean shift pay up 54% in 24h, 44 to 67.7 DERP, and a freshest tip clock-in previews 667 DERP instead of 444.

Green's share of minimum-pay shifts fell from 48% to 39%.

Bigger tips. 11,643 entropy requests lifetime, +602 in the last day, zero cancels.

Each one pays 0.00042 ETH and 17.1% of it tips the fulfilling miner — 0.044 ETH tipped out in 24h, split across fewer miners.

Less Miners = More and bigger Tips for the miners that remain.

-

That's not to say Derp Holders aren't benefitting too!

The Miners who stay, continue to feed The Merchants - A fatter Merchant = More backing for every Derp that exists. Every clock in has a fee that lands in the pot backing DERP: green Merchant +0.46 ETH to 32.16 ETH, blue +3,166 APE to 307,787 APE, in one day.

The base price of Derp continues to ONLY go up.

-

The Desk found its arbitrageur. Someone is buying PitBoys off paperhand listings on OpenSea and selling them into the Desk for 500,000 DERP each — 50 boys sold in, and they ran the bankroll dry doing it (141.8k DERP left, under one sell-in).

Every boy that goes in is locked behind a 1,000,000 DERP buy-out, double the sell-in, with the 500k spread routed straight to the blue mine's Supply AND it makes for Pseudo-Deflationary NFT asset, 147 boys off the market. Sellers paid, supply deflated, mine refilled. Less Supply of PitBoys coupled with More Rewards from Mining = a perfect Supply-Demand Loop.

-

DerpNotes - 62 DerpNotes created so far, locking up a few Million Derp.

Dropping later today will be an extra tool to incentivise the use of DerpNotes.

Each DerpNote locks up supply for up to 180 days,
and allows owners to price their own Derp on @opensea, it's a sort of "hedged-bet" against the Merchant, and a Conviction play (I like conviction and think it should be rewarded).

Locked up supply = Less circulating + Higher Demand could lead to changes in the Spot Price.

-

DERPPAD

The Test coin, Genesis. 1.26M of 21M mined, claim price up 54% from opening — and every claim fires an entropy request.

A TRULY fair way of allowing entry into a new coin.

DerpPad is already ~20% of all conductor demand since launch, 0.093 ETH in fees feeding the same miner tips.

This is the Efficiency Loop, Miners are now Mining and Claiming 2 tokens (once the DerpPad opens to any creator they can Mine up to 16+derp via the same Mining Shifts they're already doing).

-

RH Scoreboard (for those who like to keep track of numbers): 26.8 million transactions into StonkPit contracts — 6.2% of the 432 million Robinhood Chain has ever processed (I think we posted 31M the other day but that was an error from blockscout's outage, all numbers will come from our own RPC from now on).

Of @RobinhoodCrypto chain's 9.2M transactions today, roughly 440k were ours — about 1 in 20 is someone clocking a shift on our floor.

Mining pays more per shift today than it did yesterday. That's the Daily Report.

DerpNotes are live.

Lock an exact face of mined DERP — 10,000 / 100,000 / 1,000,000 — inside a bearer note NFT. Pick a vesting lock: 30, 90, or 180 days. The DERP escrows in the contract; the note is the claim.

When it matures, whoever holds it can break it: the contract sells the face to the Merchant at the live floor price and pays the ETH straight to the bearer. The Merchant's price only rises — a vesting note can never be worth less tomorrow than today.

Wrapping is free. Art and metadata 100% on-chain. 10% enforced royalty on every resale feeds activated DerpBoys and the Merchant.

Wrap: https://t.co/79f28pD9y8 Trade: https://t.co/R48PL6TnEe

[DerpWorks - $DERP @derp_works]

6/ It's also a blueprint. The base contract is generic: any token can issue notes to time-lock supply the same way. They just won't have a Merchant guaranteeing the exit — that part is ours.

[DerpWorks - $DERP @derp_works]

Post 8 — what's next

Launching a coin is free except a refundable 0.05 ETH bond. Creation is allowlisted while we shake it down — the first coin goes up shortly. UncleMac is creating it: every claim on it gets won by whoever's on Mining. Public creation opens after that, and it's one-way when it does - Permissionless!

And this factory pattern — merchants, activation contracts, launch ledgers — there's more we can make composable. Watching how you use this one first.

And, REMEMBER... MineBoys were originally created via this same method of 'bytes in a hash', and 'proof of work mining' - so if you're creating an NFT Collection and you need an Interesting way to launch the full Art ERC721 (Enforced Royalties)... drop @Unclemac a DM.

[DerpWorks - $DERP @derp_works]

Post 1 - DerpPad is Deployed.

Testing (coming soon)

Every mining shift you already run can now carry up to 16 extra payloads, created by anyone at any time.

PRS - Problem, Reaction, Solution

The StonkPit mines are frozen bytecode. We can't make mining one wei cheaper — nobody can, that's the point of frozen.

(a V2 is in creation... but StonkPit WORKS, so rather than fix what ain't totally broken, we'll improve what already works).

So we went at efficiency from the other side: same work, more output.

- Test Mode active, but once open to the public it's a Queue system - anybody can launch a Coin into the Queue ready to be Mined on a Slot freeing up.

Permissionless by design, Experimental by nature.

[DerpWorks - $DERP @derp_works]

Post 7 — gating, the part creators should read twice

A launch can be open to all miners, allowlisted, or gated by ownership: hold N of a token or NFT collection to participate.

That means any project can launch a coin that only their holders can mine (still requires a PitBoy or StonkBroker to do the mining). Not an airdrop they dump in a day — a coin their community works for, with a floor under it the whole way. What you build on it after graduation is yours.
