@uiulex Main reason I’ve usually heard is that people don’t like how The Curse was handled or used to explain character actions. Like I guess it’s central enough to the conflict that if you can’t get behind it a lot of the story falls flat.

@StellaNoxEclair I feel like it does the “I don’t know how you can say that with a straight face” bit a little too much but at the same time said character will in fact continue to say that with a straight face instead of getting embarrassed about it.

@seadog6662 @ZenImpulshin Even before the discourse started the art style was a turnoff for me. I probably wouldn’t mind if it were trying to be a CRPG or something like The Witcher, but it felt off seeing that in a space normally reserved for anime. Now the worst people think they understand this genre.

@lein_ra @CyrusBright123 Yeah reading further it seems like the TO got in over their head and made the worst possible decision in this situation, because any experienced TO with the same sensibilities would’ve just released a statement after the fact saying that he was banned from all future events.
