@DevySensei Michigan got caught cheating, smashed the evidence, and won a natty. Barely a slap on the wrist…but Texas Tech is supposed to be the morality police for following a court order? Schools didn’t refuse to play Michigan, that got caught blatantly cheating. Hypocrites

Michigan got caught cheating, won a natty, and barely got a slap on the wrist. A coach literally smashed his phone and threw it in a pond. This thing’s been broken for years. Hate all you want.
Why the fuck is it Texas Tech’s job to be the morality police on behalf of the entire CFB landscape? We are just expected to do the right thing to a massive detriment to ourselves. Yeah let me know the last time Michigan, Ohio St, Alabama or Georgia thought about CFB as a whole.
Domestic violence…. crickets.
Gun violence… crickets
Drug dealers… crickets
Accomplice in a murder… crickets
Reckless driving… crickets.
Dude checks himself into rehab for a gambling addiction pushed by every TV network… “CFB IS DEAD FUCK TEXAS TECH”
This is a great example of how little people know about the Sorsby situation and courts.
Tx Tech can't be penalized for following a judge's court order. Their only real exposure is if they declare Sorsby ineligible to play for them against the court order, then he can sue the crap out of them.
Plus the NCAA has no jurisdiction over the CFP.
Michigan actually cheating their way to a Natty is somehow less egregious than bets on games he didn’t play in… as a redshirt 3rd string, for a REALLY bad football team that NCAA (sponsored by betting sites) determined didn’t impact the game integrity. I just don’t care 🥱
I’m on record against Sorsby getting to play, but the moral posturing by everyone today is insane. Joe Mixon punched his GF on camera. Georgia players are in the news every week for some felony. Bama had a guy playing for them while he was part of a murder investigation.
Cincinnati didn’t report Sorsby when they found out he was betting and continued to play him. Sorsby comes to tech without tech knowing. Sorsby caught and tech makes him ineligible and asked NCAA for reinstatement, which was denied. Sorsby sues NCAA on his own = tech bad guys
Texas allowed a 5 star with pending domestic violence charges to play 38 games in the 2022-23 basketball season.
I’m sure you weren’t in favor of opponents boycotting those games, right?
@UT4x_champs@BeaverFootball@CoachShephard Buuuuuuttt literally poaching a player sitting in class at Clemson and having receipts of said poaching by Ole Miss had no effect on the competitive integrity of the game?
@PeteThamel March Madness will be fun with a Big Ten draw, since they will have to forfeit.
You realize Michigan broke NCAA rules by illegally recording and stealing plays. Clean up your own mess first.
@PeteThamel@barton1959 Why is Tech expected to fall on the sword in response to the place college athletics is in?
There have been many actors gnawing away at the fabric of this institution.
Yet only Texas Tech is supposed to limit its competitive interest?
