I am excited to present my undergraduate thesis examining the relationship between racial microaggressions and well-being for women of colour at a Canadian university. Feel free to ask any questions! #aoputc2020
@LizAttisano Hi Liz! Thank you so much! Covariates in the study (ex. year of study, other discrimination, etc.) account for variance in psychological well-being. And yes, I think that microaggressions could potentially have a greater impact on well-being for other intersecting identities.

How do bilinguals process languages they know?
My thesis project with Dr. Katherine White at the University of Waterloo might be something you can take a peek at bilinguals' speech processing and categorization.

@connorelbe Hi Connor! One potential explanation may be that since the sample was comprised mostly of White female undergrad students, there may not have been enough experiences of racial microaggressions to determine a relationship between them & the DVs. Thanks for the great question!
Hi everyone, I'm very excited to present my research investigating relationship comparisons on Instagram and its impact on romantic relationship quality, supervised by Dr. Amy Muise at York University. #aoputc2020
@HaightBrook Hi Brook! Psychological well-being was assessed through statements like "I like most aspects of my personality" & "The demands of everyday life often get me down" from the Ryff & Keyes (1995) scale. Thank you for your question & for reading my work!
@thevasiak results. But I do agree with your point, as black women who experience racial microaggressions may be negatively impacted by them in terms of their well-being, as seen in past research. Thank you for reading my work & for your question!
@thevasiak Hi Vasia! I feel that my work may not be particularly generalizable because of the sample composition, as it was comprised mostly of White female undergrad students, so a different sample with more women of colour, or even a larger sample size overall, may produce different (1/2)
I am pleased to present my psychology undergraduate thesis examining the well-being of university students with academic accommodations, as i believe it's important to ensure we are always being mindful of our resources #aoputc2020@aoputc
