@_BarbatosLupus_ that's what I figured. usually I just go to Target day one and pick it up, or midnight at BB. but the pre-order discount had me curious to try again. the last time I pre-ordered a game on Amazon was back in wii u era. Even if it did come day one, annoying sitting and waiting
@ironaddk316 guessing the demand was a lot higher than Nintendo expected because of this promotion that retailers are doing. sucks that happened to you too. I wonder how many people are affected. I'm considering going to Target & seeing if they'll price match it and just pick it up today
@j2001mj2001m@SpawnYaardReply@vinsmokee_0 on the PlayStation Xbox, that's 16 GB shared between the CPU, GPU and OS. All together this steam machine has 24 GB of RAM between the CPU, GPU and OS. so the steam machine has more. the GPU can use the motherboard 16GBs of RAM, it's not limited to the 8GBs of VRAM
@mrfiddl3 both. 4000 series, it's OFA is 2.5 times faster. so, 3000 series is too slow to do it as is. high latency and probably hit base fps heavy. they can do it, but they would have to do a whole new approach. probably not worth the time when most ppl could just use FSR if they want.
@pizza16XD i've never seen a single leak mention anything about frame gen. the hardware is based on nvidia 3xxx series. currently frame gen requires nvidia 4xxx hardware. so it doesn't have the hardware needed to do it atm. they could do something special for it, but it's probably not worth
@6xbus zero chance to get banned using DLSS Override. it works at a driver level n doesn't replace any files in fortnite. instead of using the dlss file inside fortnite when executing dlss it uses the one in the Nvidia drivers that u specify. fortnite was on supported list since launch
@HospsOfficial@archer_fortnite that's not true, if u do it right it works. using DLSS Override in Nvidia app it doesn't replace anything, it injects in realtime, officially supported by fortnite. now if u swap the dll file yes, u will trigger anticheat. see it in the list for 4.5 here: https://t.co/wJZ4j2gIsg
@Castell_ANM i hope a 120 hz mode comes to Wonder and Kart World someday. but I have a feeling that maybe it won't, I think the 120 Hz was probably more for the developers than Nintendo. it was probably what they asked for. bc the system def could do it, but could be a limitation of the code
@thesombergamer The gaming industry is doomed as we know it today for sure. a lot of bad investments and trend chasing that is destroying it. I just hope the company's learn from their mistakes but, it's hard to say
@thesombergamer not if they probably overstaffed for the project. live service games are very difficult and require really good planning. they probably see a lot of the feedback and negativity on the game. they probably see it dying. On my end, every one of my friends stopped playing it
@thesombergamer@Wario64 it's sold well yes, but it's lost most of it's players since when it first launched. it peaks at about 60k daily players. the highest was 700k when it first launched. it still makes it # 18 on active daily players on Steam. they probably planned for more than that and overhired
@TylerGlaiel it's such a weird way to word it, cuz it could mean so much things, i was like what. I'm pretty sure it just means this is how it's currently set and then you can hit the change one to customize
@Grummz why is it hard to imagine a kid playing an rpg at 6? i beat super mario rpg on snes when i was 4 going on 5. beat tons of other games like mario 64 that same year
@bobateaa_3 I know it's about the same size still. possible the video files are bigger now for the remaster. hopefully upscaled. helldivers 2 is a good example, made it much smaller and removed hhd optimization. 85 percent smaller. modern consoles and PCs can take advantage of hhd better
@bobateaa_3 hdds didn't run good back then anyways. loading times were long and hidden behind stuff like elevators and corridors. a lot of times games have to be made with hhds in mind, like duplicating files in multiple places for easier fetching. possible they removed some of that for size
@Sazupr@jifour98_ more advanced doesn't mean more powerful, just means it can do more advanced things that didn't exist when ps5 was created. the SOC in switch 2 is from 2022. PS5 from 2020. of course ps5 can brute force more, and isn't a mobile soc, but there are things the switch 2 is better at
@asperyourlast@jifour98_ the PS5 is not fully RDNA 2, the PS5 does not support mesh shaders. it was a hybrid architecture. only Xbox Series S and X is fully RDNA 2. PS5 pro supports it as well being a RDNA 2 hybrid, with 3 and 4 features. Remedy had to work around Mesh Shaders for the PS5 on Alan Wake 2.
