If Altman, Musk and Co had any guts they would join Anthropic to present an united front to the Trump administration's strong arm tactics. https://t.co/P0ndiaGeQK
@jkenney The timing of the attack was likely motivated by news Iran was purchasing cruise missiles from China... "a complete gamechanger if Iran has supersonic capability to attack ships in the area..." https://t.co/xEG1KpUMbc
The attack on Iran has nothing to do with liberating its people. It's payback for Oct 7 and decades of proxy wars against Israel by the mullahs and the IRGC. There is no plan because there is no need. Just let Iran descend into years of chaos... like Libya and Iraq before.
Don, can the Iranian people, imprisoned in their own country, count on Scandinavian and Canadian socialists to secure order, justice and peace?
Are they wrong to celebrate the death of their oppressors?
Do order, justice and peace require that they live forever under a murderous theocracy that spreads terror and instability around the world?
If @USAmbCanada thinks this column is about sour grapes, he should have a chat with the captain of the other Team USA. But I suspect he didn't read it.
Insulting the U.S. men’s hockey team for accepting President Trump’s invitation to the White House and his State of the Union address is a new low for The Globe and Mail. Comparing our gold medalists to zoo animals, questioning their literacy, mocking their education... that’s quite a take. In Michigan we call that sour grapes. These young men won fair and square and deserve to celebrate. And they can read just fine, including the scoreboard.

Here’s my interpretation:
Trump is not an idiot.
He knows Carney is stalling trade talks, for political purposes, and no other reason.
Trump is forcing Carney back to the table.
He’s giving a glimpse of how ugly it can be, stalling & being difficult instead of negotiating a deal in good faith, instead of stalling in order to try to win a majority.
Carney needs to make a choice:
Does Canada continue to get decimated so he can selfishly attempt a majority?
OR
Does he do the right thing & focus on a trade deal?
It’s ridiculous it has come to this.
I'm not surprised they don't teach much U.S. history in South Africa. But then again, when Elon was there, they probably didn't teach much South African history either.
Statements like this, which frame border patrol agents as Nazis and encourage ordinary civilians to interfere with law enforcement, are incredibly irresponsible and risk getting people killed.
@ArthurMacwaters You could solve illegal immigration overnight by requiring US employers to hire only persons who are legally entitled to work in the US. And -- this is important -- impose meaningful financial penalties on any US employer who hires undocumented workers.
@ArthurMacwaters It's actually pretty simple, Arthur. Perhaps explain to your millions of followers the difference between civil and criminal law: being in the US illegally is not a criminal offense. But Trump 2.0 is making it look like it is. "Unrest" is a reaction to a giant lie.
When you think it can’t get any worse for Governor Walz, it just did.
He literally compared the life of Anne Frank – a young Jewish girl who was hiding from the Nazis and was eventually murdered – to the situation in Minnesota.
What an idiot. Knock it off.
