@blockwonkel@Gatlinintendo as for tapping a foot, that would be a tap code (https://t.co/1iqreNSWD9 ), which is different from morse since there’s only “dits”, no “dahs”
Enjoy the Diner is out NOW! I played the Japanese version earlier this year and it blew me away with its visuals, story, and music. It’s a strange game with a lot of heart. Because of my love for the game I’m really glad that I’ve been able to help with the English translation.
Wishlist Enjoy the Diner on steam! Or else I’ll… I’ll… well, I’m not sure what I’ll do but if I find out you didn’t wishlist it you’ll be in trouble, that’s for sure.
@chaosprime not really related to ??= but there is also System.Collections.Concurrent.ConcurrentDictionary that has GetOrAdd() for this sort of use case.

@KayinNasaki it’s also not outrageous to assume that large studios use AI for a lot of things that aren’t directly user-facing, and that developers don’t talk about it publicly because it’s under NDA (because it’s a technological investment!!!)
@KayinNasaki you can still see AI-related job listings if you spend a few seconds looking. if this appears “anaemic”, it’s because you’re ignoring the fact that these companies started building AI teams years ago.
@KayinNasaki it’s also a very ignorant take that you could only arrive at if you’d never looked at a AAA studio’s hiring page any time in the last five years. game developers have been exploring the use of AI in various capacities for a long time now!
Simulating CRT beam mis-convergence in 4K!
These pictures are probably pushing it too far, but I’m starting to be convinced that a slight amount (vs perfect alignment) is needed for an authentic look.
@8_cake_ i also like how there’s a whole spectrum from “does what it says on the tin” (e.g. 金魚) through to “so, there’s this two-thousand year old chinese proverb…” (e.g. 矛盾)
Hmmm. I just had a bizarre experience, involving a global news organisation and a trillion dollar corporation. (I got caught in the middle, so... owch.)
It’s not the sort of experience the people involved usually talk about in public… so I think I’ll talk about it in public.
