2. Propose - Initiatives to promote research aptitude in MBBS MD teachers and promise recognition of work with funding

Never will India shine with this attitude. If there is anything shiny or shining, that probably is FAKE or FRAUD. The same with research in India and specially in the medical community who generally do not have any liking towards research and innovation.

Stop giving things to reserving despite uninterested/ unqualified/ not valued. Try giving things to deserving.

We are glad to see AIIMS Bhopal faculties doing well in research.

However, the question that keeps haunting🤯us is what is happening with the MSc Medical Postgraduates of AIIMS who are specially being trained for research for decades now?

How many AIIMS Bhopal MSc Medical Postgraduates are currently working in AIIMS Bhopal and in other AIIMS and how many are in various prestigious institutions around the world such as Harward, John Hopkins, Oxford etc.?

How many AIIMS MSc Medical Postgraduates are among the top scientists in the world? Where are they going after graduating from AIIMS?

Or is it that most of the AIIMS are occupied by non-medical MSc General Science graduates pushing aside the ones trained, graduated and well qualified from their very own institutions?

Is AIIMS deliberately denying opportunities and recognition for their own graduates? Or is it just a co-incidence?

It would have been nice if @AIIMSBhopal also tagged their faculty & scientist @sanu1078 in their post and published his Photo & Credentials.

The association wrote to the institutions starting with the institutions that themselves are conducting MSc Medical Postgraduate courses about the illegal appointment of Allied MSc holders as Medical Teachers in violation of the established regulations of the NMC.

The appointment of such candidates as Medical Teachers is not just a threat to the integrity and the identity of the qualified Medical Teachers with Medical Degrees as prescribed and approved by MCI and NMC, but is a serious threat to the Medical Education as these individuals who are primarily trained and qualified to become technicians and other allied healthcare professionals are incompetent and unqualified to teach MBBS students the Medical Subjects.

SRM that are conducting MSc Medical courses with changed curriculum, changed course objectives, and with changed course duration that are awarding non-medical degrees are one amongst the colleges producing incompetent and unqualified MSc candidates in this list.

(Any degree that is awarded under any other faculty other than Faculty of Medicine is a non-medical degree and they have no relationship with our association nor with the community of non-MBBS Medical Postgraduates graduated from Medical Institutions)

Allied Commission already notified MSc Medical Microbiology and MSc Medical Biochemistry qualifications under its council to include such non-medical holders.

🚨 Caution

For the attention of Appointing Authorities, NMC recognized Medical Institutions - Appointment of Unqualified non-medical degree MSc Medical Teachers Reg.

As per the recommendations of Erstwhile MCI and as per latest NMC regulations, all non-MBBS faculties must hold a Medical Postgraduate degree and a Medical PhD from NMC recognized Medical Institutions with degrees awarded under Faculty of Medicine. However, many individuals with non-medical degrees awarded under allied/ paramedical faculty, trained for the purpose of taking up a career as technician or allied faculty are illegally joining the Medical Colleges as teaching faculties without having requisite education, training and skills with just degree as MSc Medical Biochemistry, MSc Medical Microbiology etc. leading to irreparable damage to both qualified Medical Teachers with Medical Degrees and to Medical Education.

In view of the serious issue, the association writes to all Medical Institutions requesting to pay immediate attention to the matter.

For choosing to do Medical PhD and be the largest group of Medical PhDs in the country until date contributing to most of the doctoral researches happening in medical field despite discriminatory regulations against us?!

Dear Govt of India and the Health Ministry are you even aware that MSc Medical Postgraduates are also Medical Postgraduates existing in the NMC recognised Medical Institutions for the last 60 plus years including in the institutions of AIIMS JIPMER PGIMER as on date?

Are you aware there are at least 500 plus MSc Medical Postgraduate students currently studying in NMC recognised Medical Institutions across the country?

Are you aware 100s of MSc Medical Postgraduate teachers are doing their Medical PhDs every year? Including in AIIMS JIPMER PGIMER

Are you aware most of the Medical PhDs who are doing PhD in Pvt Universities spend lakhs of rupees and invest lot of time in their research without any support and undergo lot of stress and trauma?

Are you even aware that NMC forces all MSc Medical Postgraduates to compulsorily do Medical PhD and without which there are no professional prospects/ job opportunities for us in Medical Education?

Aren’t you ashamed to abuse us and leave us behind hurt?

Is there any integrity left in the institutions and in the system that is to uphold the constitutional rights of us in this country?

🚨 Members are advised to circulate this post and the contents of this post amongst your academic circles and with your institutions where you are employed.

SRM, JSS, KMC Manipal - the students pursuing/ seeking admission into MSc Medical Courses in these institutions must know these institutions have allegedly converted the courses and the curricula to fit into Allied Commission as Allied Professionals/ Lab Technologists. While they retained the nomenclature MSc Medical Biochemistry etc., they no longer are producing Medical Teachers with Medical Degrees but are producing Lab Technologists/ Allied Professionals to fit into Diagnostics and Allied Sector.

While the association is making every effort to address this issue at both the institutional level and to educate at the level of the students pursuing these courses/ graduating with non-medical/ allied degrees from these institutions, there is extreme danger to the academic integrity of the profession of MSc Medical Postgraduate Professionals trained to be medical teachers holding Medical Degrees from the same institutions.

In the next stage, the association will educate the recruitment departments, the managements and the administrative heads of the medical institutions about these changes, will release a handbook of guidelines/ suggestions to identify and keep away the unqualified MSc Medical degree holders to safeguard the interests of the qualified MSc Medical Degree holders and of the Medical Education.

Beware of imposters. Beware of unqualified MSc Medical/ Allied/ Non-Medical Degree holders.

No letter head. No signatures. As long as IAP leadership wants to cover up for the company, obviously statements like this only will be issued. Please stay happy and keep saying that it's between Sivaranjani and the company! Also, keep saying IAP has no role in branding and marketing etc when it can very well put its foot down and actually tell the company not to misbrand or do misleading marketing, and stop taking funds for organizing conferences and running NRP programs etc from companies which have messed up with children's lives for 2 decades. Keep saying it's between Sivaranjani and the company when you can very well write to the Govt. the dangers of misleading branding and marketing.
If one Sivaranjani can write to the Govt. with evidence, and make things happen, I wonder why IAP with 50000 paediatricians can't do it???!!!
