ANNIVERSARY APPEAL - FIONA SINNOTT
Fiona Sinnott was 19 years old when she went missing in the early hours of 9 February 1998 from Broadway, Co Wexford in Ireland. She had been socialising with friends at Butler’s pub from about 17:00hrs on Sunday 8 February and left for the walk home around midnight.
Described as 5ft 2in in height and of slim build with brown eyes. Fiona had shoulder
length auburn hair at the time of her disappearance. She lived in the small village of Ballyhitt, 1.85km away from the pub in Broadway where she was last seen.
The 19-year-old’s ex boyfriend claims he walked her home from the pub and spoke to her on the morning of 9 February. He alleges she was planning a visit to the doctors to discuss a pain in her arm. Enquiries established Fiona never visited the surgery, nor was she seen along the route she would have taken.
Despite extensive searches and enquiries, plus many media and TV publicity appeals, there has been no verified sighting of Fiona since she left Butler’s Pub. A motorist came forward with a sighting of a female and male on the road near Kisha Cross around midnight. The witness alleged there were two young adult males in close proximity to the couple. None of these four people have ever come forward.
The Missing Podcast features Fiona in season three, episode 29 where her family discuss her disappearance with Pandora Sykes (available on Amazon Music and other podcast platforms).
