Japanese neo-Nazis love using 1989 because it is the only Chinese wound you can weaponize without looking at your own blood-soaked history.
But you misunderstand one thing:
1989 is not Japan’s moral trophy.
For Chinese people, the real lesson was not “China should have surrendered to Western-backed chaos.”
The lesson was that China survived the kind of color-revolution trap that destroyed other countries, shattered states, and turned entire societies into playgrounds for Western power.
A U.S. colony that does not even dare to resist when American troops rape women in Japan has no right to lecture China.
A country that invaded Asia, massacred civilians, built Unit 731, enslaved comfort women, worships war criminals, and still lives under U.S. military occupation does not get to use Chinese history as a moral laundromat.
China’s internal tragedy is not Japan’s redemption arc.
