LAWFARE? In North Carolina a magistrate does not have to be a lawyer or even have an undergrad degree. Most magistrates in the state are not attorneys. As a result, the fastest growing cohort in the judiciary are black women. Take for example Democrat Magistrate Michelle Williams McNair. After Ta'Nezah Austin attempted to murder a Charlotte police officer with her car McNair released her on $3K bond.

On a related note, McNair did attempt to get a law degree, but could only get accepted into a fraudulent legal program operated by a company called InfiLaw Corporation. The ABA placed the program on probation for violating ABA admissions standards. Then the Department of Education terminated it from the Federal Student Loan program. More than 150 students and former students have filed lawsuits against Charlotte School of Law alleging fraud, violations of the North Carolina Deceptive Trade Practices Act, and other claims.
