@EllePalmer1 once i discovered that i am autistic, so many things in my life made sense and all the ways i was ostracized by others were put into context. YouTube was a wonderful resource for me to learn the experiences of other women on the spectrum. i hope this discovery brings you peace!
@SarahVaci i know you just said partner felt too serious, and i used to feel the same way, but i use partner to refer to my girlfriend 95% of the time and now it feels normal and we like it a lot. hope you find a phrase you like!!
i guess what i'm trying to say is that to me the most important part of detransition has been mental, and for myself not for others. it's been a strange process that's difficult to share with the people in my life, but i feel so much better not running from my biology
i've been doing well, and i really don't think about detransition as much as i used to. i haven't socially detransitioned in the way that some people do, and sometimes that gives me imposter syndrome
socially i feel weird whenever someone sees me as male even though i'm female, but i still default to dressing very androgynous. the concept of vocal training to raise my voice feels embarrassing, so my voice is a bit deeper than i'd like but i'm coming to terms with it
Sometimes, you just need to be with other people who 'get it'. Beyond Transition Hangouts offer a space where detransitioners and those lost in transition can connect with others who have a similar experience - and build a positive movement for change.https://t.co/Np5BfWd2j5
I’m excited to share portrait 8 in my series of 100 detransitioned women. This is Michelle @somenuancepls “It took me a whole decade to admit I believed something about myself which simply wasn't true. Even only a couple years in, the sunk costs were already massive (1/)
@catcattinson "His mom launched a campaign to get manufacturers of the gel to include a prominent health warning" but isn't there already a warning about this? i remember learning about the gel from trans youtube years ago and even they talked about being careful to not touch others afterwards
