My electric bill is 30% more than under Biden.
My gas costs more.
My groceries cost more.
EVERYTHING costs more under trump because of his boneheaded tariffs and a war nobody asked for.
If you voted for all this bullshit, f*ck you.
Marco Rubio: "Unlike them (Iran), we’re not bombing embassies and hotels. We’re hitting military targets."
YOU LITERALLY BOMBED A SCHOOL!
You killed over 110 innocent children!
To be clear, the president’s views are those of a white supremacist and his own administration members say so.
This should be the second-biggest domestic scandal in American politics (the first being Trump’s documented ties to a notorious child sex offender and trafficker).
Pete Hegseth accuses Iran of investing in missiles and weapons instead of people, during a speech in which he's asking for $200 billion for weapons, instead of people.
The US is spending more than $1 trillion on the military for the first time in history.
That apparently isn't enough. Now, the Pentagon wants $200 billion more for an illegal war in Iran.
The answer is NO.
We need to invest in the American people, not endless war.
23 years ago tonight, in an Oval Office address, George W. Bush announced the start of the Iraq War.
4,492 American service members were killed in the years that followed. 32,292 were wounded.
At least 200,000 Iraqi civilians died. The humanitarian impact was immense.
America wasted 9 years and 3 trillion dollars on a war that never should have happened—a war predicated on a lie, pushed by warmongering neocon politicians, and paid for by everyday people.
Imagine what that $3 trillion could have bought here at home. Imagine the decade we could have spent focusing on America, our people, our place in the world. Imagine the lives our service members, stolen from us, would have lived. But instead, the president took us to war. Yet another costly quagmire in the Middle East.
I voted against the Iraq War. I knew the White House would lie to Members of Congress and voters alike to manufacture the pretext for a conflict—and they did.
Now, Iran is shaping up to be Iraq 2.0—new lies, new bloodthirsty politicians, still paid for by American families. Yesterday, we learned that Trump wants another $200 billion for his war. That's after Congress already gave the Pentagon more money than it even asked for in the budget.
Enough is enough. It is not too late to learn from the past. Stop this madness. Bring our troops home. End this war.
Sellers: You talk about America first, but you have people out here who cannot make ends meet. You have you have prices at the tank skyrocketing daily. You have American soldiers dying, and then you have the audacity to tell congresspersons that they're supposed to come back and vote for a $200 billion supplemental for a war we don't know how we're going to get out of, or how much it's going to cost, or how many lives are going to die as a result of something with no objectives.
“They got money for wars, but can’t feed the poor.” — Tupac said it years ago… and here we are.
The Pentagon is now asking for an additional $200 BILLION for this war.
We always find the money for war.
But when it comes to housing, healthcare, or feeding people? Suddenly it’s crickets.
Absolute bombshell. John Bolton admits the administration completely forgot to secure the Strait of Hormuz before starting a war. He reveals the Secretary of Energy didn't even think it would affect oil prices. The incompetence of these warmongers is staggering.
DHS Secretary nominee Markwayne Mullin says he went on a "classified" trip while serving in Congress in 2016 and refused to share details about it during his confirmation hearing. Former congressman and veteran Adam Kinzinger says there are no secret missions for House members.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth criticized Iran for investing in missiles and weapons over its people, as the Pentagon prepares a request for up to $200 billion in additional war funding, amidst record cuts to healthcare and other human needs.
$200 BILLION IS ENOUGH TO:
- Double the annual per‑person spending on K–12 education.
- Expand the ACA tax credit for 7 years.
- Provide up to 2 million people the SNAP benefits they need.
- Provide a middle class tax break of $3,500.
Instead, we will spend it on an illegal war.
This is only the beginning. More money will be wasted. More lives will be lost.
For the record, the president of the United States is now simultaneously claiming that he has won the war, is currently winning the war, needs help to win the war, and needs no help to win the war. All to destroy the nuclear program he claims to have already destroyed last year.
This is a mess. The goalposts around what “Operation Epic Fury” is going to accomplish are moving constantly to accommodate whoever is in front of the cameras. Trump claiming that we didn’t expect Iran to retaliate doesn’t hold up. Iran warned the UN weeks earlier, and experts flagged the risk before the strikes.
You can debate whether the decision to go to war was right or wrong. But the idea that Iran’s response—or threats like closing the Strait of Hormuz—came out of nowhere just isn’t supported by the evidence. And now we’re paying for our hubris.
Say what you will about President Biden, but he kept getting shit done like infrastructure, manufacturing, CHIPs Act, the PACT Act, never shut down the government, added millions of jobs, and didn't start any new wars that shut down the Strait of Hormuz.
I sure miss Joe.
We were way better off with him.
Ossoff: "Last night the White House put a video on social media that depicted this war as a video game. When American service members killed in action are returning to the US in flag-draped coffins, and even more Americans have lost limbs or suffered terrible brain injuries or are fighting for their lives, this White House treats war like a game. It's a disgrace. And it speaks to the moral rot of this administration."
Hey do you guys remember that one time when Trump was a coward and avoided the military but then puts out his picture from military school to pretend like he’s some hardened warrior with a 1000 yard stare but really he’s a big coward who is scared of everything and he smells bad and wears makeup all the time because of how manly he is?
I do
🚨DISGRACEFUL: Republicans are now trying to blame Obama and Biden for a war Trump started.
Let’s be precise.
The Obama Iran nuclear deal — the JCPOA — froze Iran’s nuclear program. International inspectors were on the ground. Enrichment was capped. The program was contained.
Trump withdrew from it in 2018.
After Trump withdrew, Iran began enriching uranium again. From 3.5% to 20% to 60% — the level it reached when Trump launched this war.
The $400 million McEnany is citing was Iran’s own money — frozen since 1979 — returned as part of a legal settlement over a decades-old arms deal. This is documented public record.
The $6 billion Biden unfroze was also Iran’s own money — released for humanitarian purposes and mostly never spent.
Iran’s nuclear program escalated because Trump dismantled the agreement that contained it.
Trump then launched a war to destroy the program his own policy allowed to grow.
And Republicans are on television blaming Obama.
The MAGA base voted for an end to foreign wars.
They got a war built on a lie, blamed on a predecessor, with 14 Americans dead and no exit strategy.
All roads lead to the truth.
McGowan: You're saying 46 Americans died, so we should attack this country. Here at home, 68,000 Americans die a year because they don't have health insurance. So, if we're going to spend billions of dollars on something, would it not make more sense to save American lives, to spend it here on health care than bombing another country.
