You know what it means when the IDF has good enough optics to pick out the forelocks on individual people’s heads?
It means they know the toddlers are toddlers when they murder them.
Stewart: For you, Israel is the red line.
Fetterman: Absolutely. I can never turn my back on Israel.
Stewart: I mean no disrespect but that is not our country.
the pied-à-terre tax is targeted at pricey, mostly unoccupied homes in the city and meant to help fund city services. but it also introduces a new form of tax exposure for people who may be outing themselves as NYC primary residents, even as they claim primary residence elsewhere
This is the funniest part of the pied-a-terre tax freakout: newspapers & social media were full of people saying "No you don't understand--I've been committing insurance fraud, registration fraud, and income tax fraud for years. So I can't just submit my license or tax return"
"Socialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires."

A tiny sandwich shop decided to take a chance...
They heard Liam Neeson was filming Hard Powder nearby, so they wrote a joke on their chalkboard:
"Liam Neeson eats here for free."
On the other side, they added:
"Come in and get TAKEN away by our sandwiches."
They figured he'd never see it.
Seven hours later...
The door opened.
Liam Neeson walked in.
In his signature deep, gravelly voice, he looked at the staff and asked,
"Where is my free sandwich?"
The entire shop was in shock.
Although he didn't have time to stay and eat, he happily posed for photos with the amazed staff before heading out.
The surprise visit became such a memorable moment that the shop later created a sandwich in his honor...
"The Neeson."
What started as a funny chalkboard joke turned into a story the shop will never forget. 🥪🎬
