Frequent heartbreaking news of child abuse in Tamil Nadu after @TVKVijayHQ assumed charge.
@CMOTamilnadu sir, more than 25 child sexual abuse cases have been reported in the last 15 days in Tamil Nadu !
🔺The Director of Child Welfare and Special Services post (formerly known as Social Defence) remains vacant. The Director oversees the implementation of Acts such as the Juvenile Justice Act, POCSO Act , Prohibition Of Child Marriage Act, the RTE Act etc.
🔺The child rescue helpline 1098 workers' salaries have not been paid for the last four months. These workers rescue children in distress and vulnerable children.
🔺The Child Welfare Committee's honourarium has also not been paid for the past two months. This committee is responsible for the care and protection of children.
