I talked about this 3 days ago. Now the allegations are getting much worse.

Another CIBC employee on Reddit is now alleging MASS layoffs across contact centres in Toronto, Montreal, Regina, Halifax and Fredericton.

The claim is roughly 40% of the workforce was laid off, with roles being replaced by cheaper agency labour overseas.

Again, these are allegations. But if even remotely accurate, where is the mainstream media? This is much bigger than CIBC.

Call centres and entry-level banking jobs are where young Canadians get their foot in the door. They learn the business, gain experience and work their way up.

Canada already has a serious youth employment problem, and we're potentially watching Canadian jobs disappear because the same work can be performed more cheaply overseas.

Canadian bank. Canadian customers. Canadian economy.

At some point we need to ask why keeping these jobs in Canada isn't the priority.

Outsourcing Canadian jobs needs to become a national conversation.

I’ve been a Costco member for 20yrs.

I only remember making 1 return (known electrical issue).

So why is the return line always FILLED w/Indians. Do they buy more defective items?

No. They use stuff & return it when done. It’s COMMON in their community.

Why buy a pressure washer when you can return one every 6 months after cleaning your driveway?

I’ve even seen them returning FOOD that looks like they ate the majority of it.

This is the “culture” we’re importing to America.
