@auren We are a product of our environment and so were our parents. Society had influenced them to believe college was the epitome of future success so they simply did what they thought was right at the time.
@dharmesh Yup, it’s all about timing. The question isn’t “if” but “when” it can be automated. It’s just a matter of time before technology catches up and it becomes economically feasible.
@VivekxK@seanrose I don’t think they forget. It’s just that the Hacker News audience is primarily programmers, not businessmen. The opposite is also true on other sites where businessmen often overlook the value programmers bring.
@abatalion Sure, it exists but we’re still ways away from software writing 100% of itself through AI, self-awareness, etc. We still primarily rely on humans to build it. Think real-world Skynet.
