The true libertarian solution is as follows: When the person presses the crosswalk button a crypto solution tallies the estimated time of crossing with the number of individual vehicles that would be delayed. A price per vehicle is negotiated. Only when negotiation has been agreed upon does payment occur, and the individual is made able to cross the busy road.

@wolftivy I think flattening to ghibli style makes it grokkable in a hierarchical sense. Not sure that is exactly right, but it turns a scene of questionable hierarchy to one of known hierarchy.
