Does anyone know if it was same swell that caused the coastal flooding in Santa Cruz on dec 24th that impacted Peru on dec 28? Just curious.
Or where i can find a model run from earlier in the week so i can back trace it myself? #stormsurge#coastalflooding

@hare_karen@SSS94863723 The storm surge today was cause by the low pressure to the South of the island. The low pressure elevates the water level, like you lowering the pressure in a straw to drink, and the E winds move water towards the right (in N. Hemisphere) and coasts the coast in this case.
