@Mrgunsngear Jeeez.. shooting targets literally placed right in front of an active road with cars driving in the background. This is the stupidest thing I've seen this week
@uncledoomer What's with this trend of calling obviously aesthetically misaligned couples a "stonecold looksmatch"? Does it just make people feel better about who they think they can score? No hate on this guy, but sorry, this girl is clearly out of his league just based on looks.
@MoundLore Schenectady, NY. General Electric brought so much money to the city. Now there’s nothing going on there, buts lots of old mansions that show how big it used to be.
@NoNotReallyX@LauraRbnsn@PheonixRising50 Number of New York City murders in 1988: 1,896
Number of New York City murders in 2025: 303
Chicago murders in 1988: 660
Chicago murders in 2025: 417
DC murders in 1988: 369

Are these numbers fake?
@emperorthesteve lol you’re letting yourself get ragebaited by a hundred-year-old letter. This is a history book, if it’s examining infidelity in war why shouldn’t it talk about what the male soldiers were getting up to? Obviously they were getting laid too
@JJisanangryman@Colin_d_m I get not wanting there to be kids in a bar. But if it gets you absolutely fuming like this guy and thinking about calling the kids “fuck trophies” then it’s safe to assume there are some hangups in the mix.
@aseitzwald I think the allure is that people feel they can take pride even if they fail when they’re in a beautiful New England town with character. Whereas if you fail in, like, Rochester, it’s just sad, not romantic.
@oxfordmarlboro@NoseyOld@OpeSyntax There’s absolutely a tragic element to the lives of live-fast-die-young youth in poor neighborhoods. There’s more parallels to the tragic characters of Shakespeare (blood feuds, murder plots, dysfunctional love affairs) than in high-functioning society.
