Those rushing to defame India over the Tejas crash need a reality check. Air-show demos have claimed even the most advanced fighter jets worldwide.
Here’s what people conveniently forget:
• F-16 Fighting Falcon — multiple airshow crashes across USA, Bahrain, Belgium.
• F/A-18 Hornet — Blue Angels fatal crash, Canadian demo crash.
• F-35 — 2023 US airshow landing accident caught on camera.
• Mirage-2000 — France and India both lost jets in demo practice.
• Rafale — 2009 Stockholm airshow crash.
• Gripen — two major airshow crashes, huge embarrassment at the time.
• Eurofighter Typhoon — 2010 Spain crash, pilot killed.
• Su-35, MiG-29, J-10 — all suffered airshow losses in different countries.
Airshow manoeuvres push jets to extreme limits — no nation is immune, no aircraft is beyond risk.
Targeting India during a tragedy isn’t criticism… it’s hypocrisy.
Stand with the forces, not against them.
