@IainP52938 Hi Will, thanks for the message.
Yes, I remember it well.
I hope your daughter still enjoys watching her team. Wishing you both well and good luck in the play offs.
It is with great sadness that we must report the death of one of our former players and 1980 FA trophy winners, Tommy Horan.
Tommy passed away suddenly at home yesterday morning, aged 66.
Tommy, who grew up in Barking and attended St. Peter's School, Dagenham, and then Bishop Ward, was an apprentice with West Ham under John Lyall.
Tommy joined Dagenham FC in 1978 under Laurie Wilkinson and was a member of the Dagenham FA Trophy-winning side who beat Mossley 2-1 at Wembley.
The club would like to send its sincere condolences to his daughter, Charlotte, and son, Sam, who are both regulars here at Victoria Road. Sam is a season ticket holder, and Charlotte attends when visiting London. And to his wider family and many friends.
Tommy was one of football’s gentlemen who will be sadly missed by many.
May he Rest in Peace.
With Ellis' brace last night, @ellis_devs and @devs76 join an exclusive club of father-and-son duos to have both scored for @romfordfcofficial. Since 1992, the Devereuxs join the Portways — Steve and Charlie — as the only pairings to achieve the feat.
Despite the time and effort you into it, I know how much you’ve wrestled trying to keep it free for as long as you have. This account provides brilliant exposure for players/managers/coaches in a way they couldn’t themselves. £3 is still a crazy bargain. Good work mate 👏
📢 ANNOUNCEMENT: Changes to Free Agents FC X Promotions
What started as a simple idea has grown into something far bigger than I ever imagined.
The support for this page has been overwhelming – hundreds of messages, countless connections made, and incredible exposure for players and staff alike. But with that growth has come a massive demand on my time. I run this account alone, and unfortunately, I’m no longer able to keep up with the volume of requests in my spare time.
Over the past months, I’ve had numerous companies approach me to partner up, recognising the value and reach of this platform. I’ve also seen agents use the page to promote their players — some benefiting financially — and, at times, players expecting ongoing help without recognising the time and effort that goes into running things behind the scenes.
After much thought, I’ve made the decision that from June 23rd 2025, there will be a small fee of £3 per advertisement. This is simply to help manage the demand, value the time and work put in, and allow the page to remain active and sustainable.
I understand this change won’t suit everyone, and I may lose some support because of it — and that’s OK. I truly appreciate every single person who’s supported the page so far. This isn’t about making a fortune — it’s about respecting the work, the time, and the value this community has created.
Thanks for understanding 🙏
Hopefully we can keep growing and pushing the account forward.
