Node.js Security Advisory: a high-severity RCE flaw in Node's Brotli decoder affects Node.js 22, 24, and 26.

Vercel WAF rules are live for every project and block known exploit patterns.

[Pix🔎 @PixBuilds]

just got royally fucked by this

so you're telling me i pay railway every month to keep my secrets safe, and now i have to rotate every single one of them myself

except all deployments are paused, so if i rotate now my app breaks, and if i don't, someone else might have my keys

fml, what's a good alternative to railway?

gotta move before i scale my app any further

@Railway Now that AWS has a new UX I think I'll be leaving Railway. Ever since the google cloud thing it's just been down hill. Was a huge advocate but a 14+ hour complete outage is unacceptable

Anyone else just search the app they want to open and act like the Home Screen doesn’t exist?

Apple should REALLY add a sliding dock to iOS so we can fit more apps.

How is this not a feature yet? 😭

This is the second typescript port I’ve seen in a week and I’m not even on this app like that anymore

[Chris Tate @ctatedev]

New from Vercel Labs: tsc-ts

TypeScript was written in TypeScript
Then rewritten in Go

We ported it back to TypeScript
Compiled it with scriptc

And it's 2-4x faster than tsgo

Not costly, don't put fear on anyone. Cloud Architect Expert here. My estimate puts it at about $90 - $120 per month if you wanna have 2 app servers that can act as load balancers + 1 DB server.

Put both behind Cloudflare which will handle Caching, etc.

You need an 8-core CPU with 24GB RAM each which is about $30/month on Contabo. For a 3rd server, you can host your DB (Postgres/Redis) at another $30 per month.

If you don't want to go that route, get a Ryzen dedicated VPS with 12 cores for $120/month, it will handle this seamlessly, but it isn't as 'efficient' as the architecturally optimized 3-VPS route, which guarantees redundancy.

It's not that costly. It's when you begin to have millions of concurrent users that you have a challenge with server costs.

Meanwhile, if no one wants to say it: if money was the sole reason for accepting that funding from GB and co, then it was a wrong move. They had enough runway to manage server and associated operational costs. Now, they are a bit handicapped in terms of product direction, going forward.

Back in 2018, open source changed my life.

It gave me opportunities, a community, and a chance to build something that people around the world could use.

But there was a problem: it wasn't sustainable for me to do open source full-time.

And I still wish I could.

I know I'm not the only one.

Across Africa, there are developers and maintainers building libraries, frameworks, tools, and infrastructure that deserve more recognition and financial support.

So I built something for us.

Introducing https://t.co/LMe7mpq4pD.

A platform making it easier for open-source creators and maintainers in Africa to get discovered, receive sponsorships, and sustain the work they do.

You get visibility.

Your projects get a place to be discovered.

And patrons can support your work without jumping through hoops.

Powered by @bachs_hq Connect, maintainers receive 100% of the money patrons sponsor, accessible same day for Naira sponsorships.

No complicated funding process. Just people supporting the software that makes the internet, businesses, and our communities work.

I believe Africa needs both:

→ Builders creating profitable products. Find them on https://t.co/29l9evwvP4.

→ Builders creating the open-source foundations and critical software that others depend on.

Both deserve a place in Africa's technology story.

@flossafrica is for the second group.

If you're an African open-source maintainer, I'd love to see what you're building, go add your projects and setup your account to receive funds.

And if you believe open source deserves better support on the continent, go fund a maintainer on FLOSSAfrica or at the very least, help me spread the word.

Open source changed my life. I want to help make it sustainable for the next generation of African builders.
