Been saying this for years now, we are not a country rich enough to debate about aesthetics, leave that to rich countries like US or West Europe to debate on Brutalist vs Gothic. We are a poor destitute nation, we need proper functioning infrastructure first, however ugly it is.
The biggest mistake I see in the gym?
People spend 45–60 minutes running...
THEN head to the weights.
If your goal is to become stronger, build muscle, improve bone health, or stay functionally fit as you age, you are probably doing it in the wrong order.
Please carefully go through this thread to understand what I mean and the scientific reasons for the same.

The kindest thing literature does is remind you that your peculiar little feelings have always existed. Someone, in some century, was equally confused by love, bored by society, tired of performing, and hungry for meaning.
A theory of mine
One of the reasons why Indians produce more batting talent than bowling is in part due to the gully cricket and tennis ball cricket culture
Batting skills can be honed in the gully. A shorter pitch only reduces the reaction time for the batsman.
OTOH, bowlers cannot develop with gully / tennis ball cricket. Whatever practice they do in the backyard is totally useless if the pitch is not 22 yards long and they don't have a proper red ball with a seam. They develop no sense of length until v late in life when they begin to play regularly on proper cricket grounds
So the early years of practice are central to honing Indian batsmen but wasteful for Indian bowlers
