My position is being misunderstood, so let me clarify.
In the first video, the officer is proposing to his legally wedded wife during a passing-out event. There is nothing objectionable in that, and I have no issue with it.
My concern is with the second video. If the person being proposed to is a girlfriend/fiancée and not yet a legally declared spouse, then the matter is different. In the Armed Forces, procedures such as marriage declaration, dependent documentation, and official recognition exist for a reason. Until those formalities are completed and the individual becomes part of the military family through due process, using sensitive military premises, equipment, or restricted areas for personal photoshoots raises legitimate questions about protocol.
This is not about opposing love, relationships, or personal happiness. It is about maintaining the same standards of discipline, security, and procedure that every soldier is expected to follow.
Love deserves respect. Military protocols deserve respect too. The debate is about the latter not the former. 🇮🇳
Ohhhh dear. You got offended. If it was done by a soldiers, not officer then what would you have done? And all bunch will use word soldiers here to protect their colonialsim bugs.
Breaking News:
India's self-appointed supreme Council of Outrage has discovered a new national security threat: an Army officer proposing to his fiancée in front of a helicopter.
Not operational readiness. Not border security. Not military strategy.
Just a sweet, sincere proposal.
Apparently, there are now thousands of civilian experts who have never worn a uniform, never commanded troops, and never been responsible for military assets, but are suddenly qualified to lecture the Army on its protocols.
Here's a radical idea: if there was a breach of protocol, perhaps the Army is fully capable of determining that itself. And if there wasn't, perhaps the outrage industry can survive without manufacturing another crisis.
The Indian Army has spent decades building one of the world's most respected military institutions. It probably doesn't need social media juries conducting disciplinary hearings based on a 30-second clip.
By all means, have an opinion. But maybe leave military regulations, asset usage, and disciplinary standards to the people who actually write, enforce, and live by them.
Not every helicopter in a photograph is a national emergency. Sometimes a proposal is just a proposal.
The Army can defend the borders. It doesn't need defending from every trending hashtag.

Does the same privilege apply to jawan also ? If it was young jawan instead of officer then also all the officers have treated him in the same way ?
Can a jawan propose to his wife /gf on camera on army premises without officers getting offended?
Just asking
Here specifically, pls don't use word soldier, you won't understand and yes you will use this to diverge the things. If it would have done by a soldier means the jawan as you guys call , situation would have been different . Yes and if it would have been an act of honor, officers word would have used by you dear. It's a bet
A soldier proposed to the woman he loves at his passing out parade. One of the most significant days of his life. And people are angry.
This is what dead inside looks like. Any public expression of love is suddenly performative, inappropriate, attention seeking. We have collectively become so hollow that genuine human emotion makes us uncomfortable and critical.
We expect our defence personnel to bleed on borders, stay away from families for months, miss births and deaths and anniversaries without complaint. But one man choosing the happiest moment of his career to also choose the person he loves and suddenly it is a violation of some sacred code nobody wrote down.
Let the soldier be human. Not everything is a performance. Sometimes it is just a person who survived the hardest training of his life and wanted the woman he loves standing next to him at the finish line. If that bothers you, the problem is entirely yours.
@ians_india And above that, posting a pic sitting in cockpit of a helicopter and flaunting with his fiance, if a soldier would have done 10% of that, by God whole bunch would have been behind him till now.
@SoldierNationF1 Yes and only officers are entitled to glorify after breaching IT rules and soldiers can not even click pic of their families. Post online is just to made one to be convicted for regular harrasment and enquiries.

Major General (Retd.) PK Sehgal:
🗣️ “Without prior notice, this action threatens 600 jobs.
— Destroying historic Gymkhana Club is a sacrilege and must be opposed publicly.”
Why should public oppose it? Instead, the ELITES should fight their own battle
They are the real cockroach. When the whole india will know the reality, India will be free from colonial mindset. They are the gate keepers of this mentality.
😂😂😂 This entitled guy who is an ex-Army Officer thinks because Delhi Gymkhana is his Second Home and his whole family loiters about here whole day, the Govt of India has given fictitious grounds to evict them.

Total mockery of women's safety! We handed over a man creating sexually explicit AI deepfakes of my sister-in-law for blackmail to PS Vijay Vihar (Ref: Cyber complaint no. 20805260043152).
Instead of an FIR, police are playing ping-pong with us. PS Vijay Vihar sent us to Sector-17 Cyber Police. Cyber Police made us write a new complaint, only to send us BACK to Vijay Vihar! The accused is sitting with them, evidence is provided, yet NO FIR IS FILED. We are being harassed by the system now. Requesting immediate intervention before this man destroys a woman's life.

The principal has come out stated her position. It had nothing to do with books being bought. Apparently the parents harangued her for 3 hours during the vaccination drive & she snapped. IMO that’s a perfectly legitimate reason to snap.
People avoid govt schools despite paying taxes and an education cess, because the system has failed to earn their trust. Private schools exploit this compulsion. With no real alternatives, parents are squeezed and intimidated.
Here, a principal from a reputed private school in Hardoi is berating parents for buying books from a cheaper shop instead of the school’s designated vendor. The insulting tone, “shut up,” “naam kaat do”, says it all.
Almost everyone with power in India abuses it to bully those without it.
@Rustum_0 And bro, you yourself don't know what you are copying and pating and what does it means actually. Have you really understood the context here?
The military campuses in a town, city or locality are the most well managed, Clean. Green, Hygienic and Secure compared to any other part of the city, town or locality. You agree ? Guess why ?
There is no IAS, IPS or IRS officer or MLA in the picture. So much for your governance.
