@DougF1964@penny_short The trouble with a bin, Doug, is that someone has to empty it and from experience, that’s not a pleasant task. But it shouldn’t be necessary.
@RaymondPurvis Hi Ray. Walked the diversion through the Stanley Plantation to the Errington Cafe on Monday on a circular from Stagshaw Bank. Spotless!! Thanks.
@DougF1964 Yes indeed, Doug. I’m on duty at The Sill on Sunday and passing the Gap will be hard for me too. I was in Beverley Minster marvelling at Gaia, the rotating earth by Luke Jerram who made the Moon currently in Hexham Abbey when I heard the news. Gut wrenching.
@HWpath And here you, Cedric and Ben are having lunch in the van whilst I’m on my monthly Trail check. Also a picture of empty cases of cider and cans at Matfen Piers which, bizarrely had gone when I went to remove them later!
@RaymondPurvis@HWpath And thank you for your company. A good catch up and chin wag!😊
Also for hand painted wooden acorn flanked by the two replacement acorns.
Monthly trail check. Bumped into 40 people walking 25 miles in aid of the Great North Children’s Hospital. Plus 3 from Dorset who loved the walk in 2021 and are back repeating it. Not much litter but vegetation rampant. Moles have been active near the Robin Hood😡 #HWpath
Monthly trail check. 4 HW walkers, 2 from Switzerland and 2 from Germany. 2 bags of rubbish - usual selection, Costa, McDonalds and Red Bull. So not from walkers. Checked the stamping point at the Robin Hood and 20th path anniversary stamp. #HWpath#hadrianswall#nationaltrail
@TyneSnapper @JimMcMaster11 @TheSill@HWpath@RaymondPurvis I think you’ll find that is not correct. But you can buy an annual pass for £50 or a daily one for £10 from The Sill.
