The protocol follows a defined three-layer cascade:

1. Curator first-loss capital
Absorbs losses first.

2. sGROVE backstop
Absorbs losses after curator capital is exhausted.

3. sUSDfr principal
Sits behind both layers.

The order is enforced by the protocol. A realized loss cannot simply skip the junior layers and move directly to sUSDfr.
