@JaneHobsonPhot1@AnchorTrec@ask_aubry Also, I'm not sure about Australia, but rape laws I clue being under duress, forceful, and being in an unmatched power dynamic. So I feel like if she had fi ally given in he would have faced charges for that too
@JaneHobsonPhot1@AnchorTrec@ask_aubry I'm not sure if there were any, though. The article said he kept suggesting it and also, the article I found about it said he did it "in an attempt" to get "closer" to her. So I'm not sure if she ever actually gave in or not.
@AnchorTrec@ask_aubry Sooooo the story somehow got "better(worse?)". Dude was found guilty of kidnapping, tried to flee the country, dyed hair, Yada Yada. Ended up in Singapore. Was sentenced to 7 years 9 months for the kidnapping (max is 25 years) and 6 months for fleeing. So he's out now probably.
@chubbycommiegal@herosnvrdie69 Let's talk about this. I tried to go into flooring through my local union. Flooring. And I got harassed straight out. Like why? Am I not a human being?
@Hunster87 @IlhanMN@RashidaTlaib That's the plan. She's explaining WHY she won't be showing up. Because that's pretty important to mention. I'm not even a Democrat and I can still see the point here.
@_franknstar@thrawnmulus @ThatHellCat459 @lavendersfw @arvay61 @Halalcoholism I still see this one as problematic. If they do grow up together, it's like one won't start kindergarten until the other is in 3rd grade, one goes to high school when the other is beginning middle school, then senior and freshman. Those are developmentally very different eras
@thisissostup_d@Justbender@ChayaRaichik10 I recall all of them. Bigotry is rampant in most religious communities as well as many others. I've seen it first hand. Again, I never said all religion is bad and all LGBT people are good. That makes no sense
@thisissostup_d@Justbender@ChayaRaichik10 We're not talking about individual teachers here though. We're talking about a lack of communication between kids and their parents and the school taking the opportunity to fill that gap. Better communication and learning in the home could have prevented this
@thisissostup_d@Justbender@ChayaRaichik10 And you can see this trend more rapidly now. People expect the schools to educate their kids about EVERYTHING until it goes against their personal values.(4/4) rant over.
@thisissostup_d@Justbender@ChayaRaichik10 you have a vacuum where the teachers/school board/etc feel the need and step to fill the gap. Basically, if parents were more functional when communicating with their child, there would be no need or even the ability for schools to take that role from the parents. (3/?)
